Julie Payette Public School

The school was good up until grade 6. They went way to overboard with the Covid-19 protocols. The school used to smell like bad breath but now it’s fine. There are a lot of people who are way to physically aggressive. So ya, I enjoyed my time but I’m glad to move on the next school.

most teachers don’t care too much about students, but mme hoffman is amazing. the secretary are super mean. i guess it could be worse. or better, if it didn’t smell so bad.

First all of...this review is honest so if your offended i dont care...Now the bathrooms smell like rats the floors in the bathrooms are always wet and sticky second of all the teachers are so bias its not even funny like if 10 girls wanted to do something in gym but one boy wanted to do something else the teachers would pick the boy and its just so ugh.

Oof, honestly from my time I was there I have been having problems with students like someone randomly tripping me a lot and aswell as leading me to depression but like Hhahahah it’s fine *CHOKES ON AIR* BAIUBABAHGKAHGKA

The administration staff including the principal lack kindness and respect, I find them to be very rude and bias especially if your first language is not french...Although many of the students and parents fall into this category, it is a shame that the first point of contact when you enter into the school is the disgracefully crude head secretary and her staff.I would not recommend this school as it also lacks diversity and educational inclusiveness, the community and students as a whole do not see a far representation of themselves in their teachers and staff, which indicates a lot has not changed in the Durham region. Less then a hand full of decent teachers will never persuade me to give it a four star, time has changed and so should the authority figures within the schools.Equality and inclusiveness matters as it encourages brighter future for many and stronger and healthier generations to come.SALUTE!

Ngl this school slaps but the washrooms stink and the water fountain taste like a pool (don’t ask me why I know what a pool tastes like) but it’s a pretty cool school the teachers are cranky but Ms belmonte is the best math teacher fr also mr naud is the best history teacher my point will always stand

i had a good experience learning at this school, but some staff lack privacy to others, aswell as repect. Office is very rude and ignorant. whoever thinks its a good school are blant liars...

My daughter has attended this school since it opened. In the beginning, it was exciting and promising. So much so that I joined the parent advisor committee in the first year. Immediately I realized that the leadership in this school was lacking. I left the committee shortly after. As years passed, my daughter has experienced racism and bullying. It happens every year. I am not satisfied with with how bullying is handled here or how the staff treat the parents and students. The only reason I've kept my daughter here is because of the French immersion program as well as my admiration for Julie Payette, our Governor General.

This school is good but it doesn't have a playground. The students all have Chromebooks but I prefer PC over Mac. The children can go out for lunch, but they should still have a playground.

This school is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. There a whole bunch of people saying thing like “ this school smells bad” (it doesn’t), “the secretary is rude” ( they are all super nice) and “the teachers don’t care about the students” (they are all doing their best to help the students grow as individuals). This school is accepting, including, and fun! I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else to continue my education.And as far as the supply teachers go, they all try really hard to remember everyone’s names, and yes there a few bad supply teachers but for the most part they are all funny and patient.I wouldn’t ever ask for a different school to be apart of!MERCI JULIE PAYETTE
