My partner William and I came out to Sheet Harbor for a lobster tour. It was hands down the highlight of our first trip out to the east coast. We got to experience a really authentic, day in the life of a lobster fisherman. Randy and Luke took us out on the boat - we got to see how the lobster traps are set, take out lobster from the traps, and learned how to band the lobsters! It was a lot of hard work, but so much fun to get out into the nature and do some physical work (we both work at home from a computer so it was definitely a welcome change). Randy and Luke told so many fun stories from the daily lives, explained in detail how lobster fishing worked, and were very patient with our slower catching and banding.Sue was really kind to give us some snacks before we departed, and after returning to shore, Sue and Randy invited us over to cook the fresh lobster we caught and we all enjoyed a meal together. Their warm hospitality made the day so memorable.
