I think this store is great. It's large and the floor plan is well laid out. You can buy everything you need for your aquarium and although the selection of fish isn't great they do have quite a few Beta's (fighting fish). I only wish they had a better selection of cat food. A great store with awesome small town service.

Sorry, I just can't recommend. The elder guy working there made me feel very uncomfortable. As soon as I entered the store I went to the fish food. He came right up to me, stared at me, not saying one word. He then followed me while I looked at fish. The place is also kind of grungy and the fish don't look healthy at all. It was not a very good experience. I'll take my business to the fish store in Courtenay. They are very clean, helpful, and friendly there.

I’d really suggest that the owner, Bob, educates himself on autism and special needs.When my daughter went into True Blue with her worker to pick out fish, Bob was quite rude. They had to ask for help. When they asked if 2 of the fish could be in separate bags (going to different houses) he huffed and rolled his eyes. Bob had no patience when my daughter was quietly looking at the fish and getting excited about all the different options.It was a big deal when they asked for a simple receipt. And Bob wasn’t wearing a mask the entire time they were in the store, not even around his chin.Please educate yourselves on autism awareness, it’s 2021.

Great service! We asked about Venus fly trap food and while sadly we didn't find any, we were pointed in the right direction and we grabbed some toys for our birds as well, at a great price, and a big selection!We also happened to take a look at fish and while it's outside our budget right now, we plan on going back asap to select a few fish and some tanks to home them in!

For a LFS in a small town I expect to have to order some things online and that is still the case here, however they are stocked enough to have everything you need to maintain your tanks once established, or start a small setup. No complaints, prices are fair.

Great big pet store with tons of high quality treats and food. Great stop for a picky dog like my dog! Also incredible how well the fish are taken care of here, the beta tanks are beautiful and 5 gallons and they are so happy. I live in Victoria but I would 100 percent drive down here for a beta. 10/10 pet store.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, the fish look well kept and the tanks are clean, bob helped answer any questions I had! 10/10 recommend :)
