The Mossey River Inn

Stayed 9 days in a row here and utilized the restaurant as well. Hotel service is great. Rooms are clean. The rooms though need renovations especially the washrooms. The beds look new in some rooms but the one I had they are apear old and are rock hard. Bathrooms have patch work on rusty/broken spots and need updating. One thing I would suggest to the owner is to either get the refrigerators out of the armoire closet or cut a hole in the back of the armoire closet so the compressor can get air circulation. They could turn the bass down a bit in the lounge and it would make the rooms quieter at night.The restaurant is average, they need to educate the kitchen staff of how to sautée vegetables especially onions and mushrooms. They need to adjust the pizza oven because every pizza we ordered came out burnt. The cook had no idea different types of ways to cook eggs and when asked for basted they didn’t know what that was. The prices are high for the quality of what is served. However, they do have potential because the cook actually can cook a really good steak seasoned well enough and not over do it plus they cooked perfectly medium and medium rare. They try hard to make things right. is not right they do what they can to fix it. I would suggest they take some time and get their kitchen staff to learn some cooking techniques online or something.Overall this establishment is good. I would like to see the owners more visible in the restaurant and the rest of the facility. Maybe more interaction with guests and help out the server who is alone when there’s a little rush happening.

This is a review for the restaurant we did not stay at the inn. A family group of 9 stopped for lunch, as usual many special request, the server managed to remember it all and seemed happy to accommodate. Burgers great including the mossy river burger as was everything else. Good food, good service, clean.

We have stayed at MRI four out of the last five year for Mossey River Days. Always enjoy our stay,the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly, the food in the restaurant is good for a small town facility. We'll stay there again when we nextvisit our old home town, hopefully this year.

Great restaurant with really good food and great service. Our group of 5 had several different items and everyone was pleased. Great pizza, burgers, and chips. Onion rings are among the best we've ever had. Our liver lover said the liver and onions dinner was very good. The staff is efficient and friendly and the decor is pleasant, neat, and clean. The WiFi service was appreciated but was quite slow. We will be back next time we are in town!

They were having a few supply issues when we were there, but it is a small town. We figured it out and the staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was great. Would definitely go there again. And you should too, and help support small town businesses through these hard times. The big businesses will survive, I hope the small ones do too.

The owners of the Mossey are doing ongoing renovations and purchasing new equipment - new comfortable chairs in the bar and the renovations of the restaurant washrooms were finished. The spinach salad I had for supper and the veggie omellet at breakfast were delicious. I look forward to my next visit in the fall.

(Restaurant Review)I honestly hate to change my rating solely based on one bad experience out of the many good ones we have had (although all of our other experiences have been on the bar side). But the way we were treated tonight was so unacceptable and I do not plan to return to this establishment and will be sharing our experiences with others. I worked many years in food service and understand things go wrong that are out of your control. But what you can ALWAYS control is how you handle situations and treat your customers. Making us feel bad because you booked our table reservation 45 minutes before you close, was NOT our fault. Making US feel bad because of this error and then limiting what we could order is NOT our fault. Proceeding to completely miss two orders, and then yelling and taunting us from the kitchen is a completely despicable way to handle such situations. Do better!

Awsome yummy food, I recommend the mossy burger it's huge lol nice service friendly waitresses in the restaurant n servers in the bar.

This restaurant is a gem. The burgers are homemade and delicious. I recommend making this a stop, if you're in the area.
