Had some bad experiences as a child so fear of swimming and years of longingly looking at my own kids and hubby having so much fun in the pool motivated me to contact Cat and I am SO glad I did. She has been So super patient with me. She totally understands and goes at my pace and I feel 100% safe with her. I was able to 'get' swimming on my back today and experienced my first swim today! I am so excited! Highly recommend!

My sons done two weeks with Coach Cat and we have seen such an an amazing experience. So much progress and growth in a short amount of time it’s been wonderful! He’s started only knowing doggie paddle and nothing for the last two years over covid he’s gained confidence in the water front to side and back float and swim! Thank you coach cat for providing and teaching such a valuable strong swim ethics! Highly recommended!

Coach Cat has been an amazing instructor for my 6 year old beginner swimmer. After only 3 lessons, he is swimming! She is patient, kind and genuinely cares for the children. She wants to pass on her love for swimming and keep the kiddos in the community safe. I appreciate her putting together this program for another option to help with the swimming lesson shortage crisis in the area.

If I could give 0 stars I could. I sent my daughter for lessons with friends at the end of July. I filled out the intake form required and stated she would be learning Swim kids 3. 2 weeks after the lessons I requested the report...I didn't think that was unreasonable. She sends me a report stating that my daughter did great and that I could now sign her up up for Swim kids2!!!! WHAT?? She was supposed to be learning SK3. I questioned her, she then replied she sent the wrong report and my daughter would for sure pass SK3 if we signed her up for it next (again WHAT???) & she would send over the report shortly. So I waited and am still waiting 3 months later still no report. When I emailed her asking for the report & stated its been almost 3 months all she replied to me was I Know" WOW so very unprofessional!!! I am very disappointed I wasted over $150 for lessons for NOTHING!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!"

We completed 2 weeks of swimming lessons with Cat and my kids really enjoyed it. My kids gained confidence in the water and learned about water safety. Cat catered our swimming lessons to meet our needs.

Cat has done an amazing job with my 3 and 6 yr olds in just a few short weeks. She is patient and playful while being very effective in teaching the essential steps in becoming a confident and strong swimmer. Highly recommend!

I was hired by Cat for Swim instructing and I told her about my expectations (20-30 hour weeks, not being scattered all over the lower mainland for 45 min lessons) and she told me it’ll work and to “let’s get my business started”; when she said that I thought she meant it in a encouraging way and for me to keep clients signing up for more classes and finding a few clients here and there.Little did I know, I had been under a contract with her for 2 weeks and received one 45min lesson in Pitt Meadows, one in Langley, one in Burnaby and one in Port Moody. This was nowhere near my 20 hours a week. I reached out to her with my concerns and she told me I she asked me if I wanted to “help her build the business” and that I needed to put up an ad on Craigslist to market myself and refer them back to her website. This made no sense to me as I would be one who found the clients, taught them and took care of client relations and receive 1/5th of the pay. They pay was not what bothered me because I had agreed to it, what bothered me was that I was a sub-contractor not a business partner; if she would have liked to build with me I would have been more than happy to share a % of profits and build the company.I asked her to have a phone call with me regarding my concerns and what we could do to fix them. I explained my concerns and she hung up on me half way through the conversation, so I thought it must’ve been a technical issue but then realized she had hung up on me mid-convo after she told me I was pissing her off and she hung up. I understood because I was also frustrated but made sure to keep it professional. She asked me to write her an email detailing my concerns and once I sent out an email she sent me an email back revoking the contract. I was just glad that I was out of that unprofessional environment.I needed to make this review not for myself, but for future instructors. I hope she changes things up and I’d like to see her business grow.
