Was very unimpressed with the costumer service while there this week. The staff didn’t answer my questions well and provided little support. I went home where I had all my services felt with on the computer with TELUS it’s self. When attempting to return to the store to purchase my new phone they refused being it was 5:45pm and they closed at 6:00pm. According to the staff it would take to long to sell me a new product. I went to another local telus store where I was assisted and walked through the process of switching over my new phone in much less than 30 minutes. I will 100% not be returning to this store. I have used this place multiple times in the past but the group they have there now was extremely unhelpful and left me feeling confused and not a priority. Extremely disappointed.

My Mom has gotten every single one of her phones from this location, I've gotten a couple of mine here as well and we will not be returning. The didn't wanto help her and asked her to come back on Monday because they closed in 20 minutes and needed 30-40 minutes to sell her a phone.I'm not sure about this business but I know most businesses in the customer service industry serve customers during their hours of operation whether that's 20 minutes before close, or a minute before close, as long as they are open they are serving customers.

Thanks to the team at Starview for excellent service. Dealing with this company for years and they never disappoint. Unfortunate that Xplornet is the cause of some of their negative reviews because Starview techs do their best to solve problems Xplornet has created and do their best under the circumstances.

Have gotten my phones from Starview for approximately a decade and have found the service to be fantastic. Sadly, Rosa, who many reviews have cited as being amazing and providing outstanding customer service (which was also my experience) has left and the environment has changed significantly. Unhelpful and a total run around. If you're looking to get a new phone or have any service whatsoever, take your business elsewhere. I certainly have.

***update near bottom***Avoid doing business with companies that put all the responsibilities and fees on the consumer even if it is their fault for being unable to install. Also if it is even an affiliate company they work with they will charge the customer.No understanding and not willing to work with the consumer. They contract out with control freaks broadband". Avoid at all costs.Save yourself the head ache and go with starlink.‐------Changed my rating as I was contacted by Starview(Terry) who was very pleasant to deal with. He listened and was able to provide support regarding my situation.Unfortunate that the contracted installer represented themselves the way they did

I can't wait for someone to overtake the internet game. I have tried to deal with star view and xplornet for over decade. I actually managed to get away from them with a great company who where then bought out by xplornet. They refuse to put in any effort when it comes to an area they know." Avoid these scammers if you have a choice. Unfortunately I know a lot of people can't."

They made an appointment to try and fix my internet issues, never called and never showed. Previous service call the tech couldn’t wait to leave and didn’t solve the problem. My experience with this company over the years has been totally dismal. It’s amazing there still in business.

My partner and I stopped in at 17:45 recently, not knowing they close at 18:00. We walked in anyways after seeing the hours because we needed to replace a Telus iPhone as soon as possible only to be told there was nothing they could do for us because of the time. We then proceeded to spruce Grove Telus store by Walmart and they said, no problem and hooked us up. We asked if they turn away customer close to closing and we were told they can do everything except major data transfers any time before close and have too if that is what happens. 20 minutes later we left happy with a new phone and will never return to Starview for anything.

I laugh at people who give bad reviews about this company in regards to their Telus phones. Starview has not been a Telus Dealer for close to 3 years! They sold to a company called Custom Cellular. Wake up people - do your research before posting your reviews

I don’t understand the negative review. My experience with Starview Communications has been the total opposite. I have dealt with this company for 13 years and continue to do so even though my family has moved to south east Edmonton. They are simply the best. My four children and I, my mother who lives in Ontario, my husband and his entire company have cell phones and plans through this location. The store manager, Tamara, worked hard to find his company the best rate plan for their specific needs with U.S. minutes and is saving them thousands of dollars per year. His boss was impressed with the level of knowledge and service and moved his entire business to Starview.I have personally dealt with Tamara and the mother daughter trio: Rosa, Vangie and Loren who have been there the longest and are very courteous and knowledgeable about the products they carry but I find all the staff to provide the same level of customer service. I’ve only seen them engage their customers with the utmost respect. They’re super friendly too. I always feel welcomed and valued as a customer when I’m in the store.Like another reviewer, I had a problem with a charger but unlike the scenario he describes, I was cheerfully given a replacement so I have no idea what he’s griping about. I don’t see how his charger could just fall apart unless it was mistreated in some way. My family has had many different phones and chargers from Starview over the years and none of them ever just fell apart. He also claims that Spruce Grove gave him a replacement when Starview would not but there is no reason to expect that if one location can replace an item under manufacturer's warranty that another cannot or will not. It's a manufacture's warranty – the manufacturer sets the criteria not the store. If someone runs over their charger or cell phone with their car, or drops it in the toilet, the manufacturer is not going to warranty that, and why should the store be expected to eat the cost. They would quickly go out of business and that would be a big loss to the community.Starview has always worked hard on my behalf. Two years ago, my new Samsung Galaxy and I didn’t see eye to eye so they were able to work their magic and get me into my first iPhone instead. They even spent a few hours showing me how all the features worked. I love my iPhone.My contract was up for renewal March 1, and the girls knew I was looking for a bigger data plan but didn’t want to spend much more than I already was. So when Telus announced a new unlimited nationwide calling/texting/1GB data plan for only $67 per month, Starview called to let me know right away. I’m now able to enjoy the full capability of my iPhone and I didn't even have to renew my contract – It's month to month!!! Does that sound like a take-it-or-leave-it attitude? Or that they don’t care about their customers after they get the sale? They would have made more commission if I had renewed my contract but were more concerned that I get what I need out of my cell phone service and remain a happy customer. Need I say more???
