Baba's Lounge
Super fun little restaurant perfect for intimate shows. We went on a Monday for their local stand-up comedians show. The venue was as expected: it's your classic bar with cheap beer, delicious food, great staff and sticky floors. We were able to snag a spot right by the stage and we fit 6 people comfortably. The food was incredible - especially the grilled Halloumi and tomato wrap! The fries - specifically the Za'atar fries - are so good and are a definite must whenever we go. I'm a huge fan of Baba's and I can't wait to go back.

We visited this restaurant just looking for somewhere to have a few drinks and chat. We usually visit Irish pubs so we wanted to try something new. We liked the cozy atmosphere and dim lighting for dining. We each ordered a couple drinks and decided to try the food as well. I got the nachos from the appetizer menu, not wanting a lot of food, however was surprised with a massive portion. It tasted great and I ended up taking the rest to go. My fiancé ordered the chicken shwarma and he said it was the best he's ever had so far. Great service as well.

We visit this spot everytime we come to Charlottetown and it's always the best time. Staff are fun and friendly. Service is quick and accurate. It's a small location so it's always full and the vibes are great. The DJs are incredible - seriously great. Jeff Doohoo was playing this time and it was total gold!!! Love the scene. Outdoor smoking patio is social and welcoming. Highly recommend.

In 2013 I visited this bar while on tour with my buddies band High Waters. They played a show to about 15 people. The food was great, the atmosphere was intimate so it was a pretty good time.

A cozy little bar with exceptional live music and excellent Mediterranean food. Where the cool kids hang. Not the kids who are attempting to bring back a Night at the Roxbury, but the plaid shirt wearing, my vinyl collection is cooler than yours, cool kids.

I had actually wanted to go to Cedar’s Eatery, which was recommended by a local colleague as a place that accommodated food allergies. Cedar’s was full, but I was told by a server that the menu for Baba’s Lounge (upstairs) was the same. I'm wondering if the service at Cedar’s is different, however; I’m not sure why this place would be recommended for those with allergies when there was hardly any effort to accommodate. After receiving awesome service and menu modifications at restaurants all weekend, I expected more from Baba’s. I ended up with the garden salad, swapping out two veggies I couldn’t have with cucumber, though it surprised me that they couldn’t find something as common as carrots to also add to the salad. I had pulled chicken added as a protein, and I had thought it would be seasoned with herbs, but it was not. Given the simplicity banality of my meal, I felt it was overpriced. I've seen more robust salads at supermarkets and airport kiosks. If gluten is your ONLY allergy, there are several options here. However, when I recommend restaurants to others from back home traveling to PEI, Baba's will probably not be on the list.

Baba's Lounge
Baba’s Lounge is a must when on the island. The owner Ryan makes all patrons feel welcomed. The staff have become family, and without Baba’s and the safe energy that the bar has I may have moved back to Ottawa last year. This bar and the people who run and work here are a big reason I feel so at home!Great place to see live music, eat, and make friends.-Surraya :)
