DONT GO!SAVE YOUR EMOTIONAL HEALTHMy boyfriend and I paid a $120 cover for both of us. As we entered the club we needed to go through a search. I was told there was no gum allowed. So I asked to have a piece and to throw the rest away. That is when the security began screaming in my face and dumping the gum all over the counter. When Chris the manager finally came to speak with me the security lied to him saying I put my hands on him and pushed him. He said he would talk to him, but doesn't handle issues in front of clients.I paid $120 and got dressed for this!

Traveled from Brooklyn, NY to see Digweed on May 21. It was a legendary 9hr monster set from the master! The club top to bottom gets 10s across the board. The sound is amazing with warm bass and clear treble that surrounds you instead of coming at you. Check-in to bartenders to security. All were friendly and attentive. Near the end of the night I was sitting with my sunglasses on, and a bouncer walked up to me and put his hand out for a fist-bump to ask if I was ok. I gave him one and let him know I was fine. He seemed to approach me not in a hassling way, but with concern. I’ve heard from friends about how amazing Stereo is, and it did not disappoint.

I’m glad I ignored the bad reviews here, this place is really great. As everyone goes on about; the sound system is EXCELLENT and managed well by the sound tech. The DJ’s were awesome too, really cool atmospheric techno vibe the night I was there. The lighting is also suuuper cool, but I have to say; the star of the show was the security.All very professional, excellent at their job and for the most part very pleasant, especially the guy at the front door with the phone strapped to his chest. I saw them deal with some rule breakers and they were firm where they needed to be, but were cool about it. That makes such a difference at venue.Would definitely recommend.

Whoever changed the sound system here should be charged for crimes against humanity. Where are my wooden boxes, analog systems, and megaphone tweeters? The main draw of this place was its unique sound, but now it just ( in some cases, worse ) like any other simpleton nightclub. You can tell the dance floor magic is gone. RIP Stereo, once a institution for audiophiles, now a experience you can get anywhere else.Also, I’d like to highlight that despite spending a ton of money trying to create a premier sensory experience. Not a single device to aid in air circulation. Nice.

There is 2 different parts here. The main area which sounds and looks cool has no alcohol served. It sounds big (I didn't see that part). And there's a small bar area in the basement that has a DJ...." and is part of the same name but not the same place

Cool place but too expensive and not quite worth it unless perhaps you’re on some hard stuff.Bought a 7$ water (ridiculous) and had a giant man snatch it from me and give it back after a while. Went to the bartender and told her I don’t trust it and if she could exchange it but all she could offer is a cup to fill water from the bathroom tap. Gross as hell and so disappointing that the staff doesn’t take more steps to make women feel safe in such situations. Keep tap water at the bar at the very least!

Since they don’t serve alcohol, everyone is on hardcore drugs. I was invited by my straight immigrant friends that did not know it was in the village (neither did I since I’ve never been there in my whole life). They charge a high entrance fee, to go to the bar downstairs they charge yet another high entrance fee even though I paid for upstairs. When leaving some guy tried kidnapping me and I learned the hard way I was in the village. The village should be abolished to be made a safer community.

I recently visited this club with a group of four, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The music played in the club was the same for over two hours, and it quickly became irritating. It felt like the DJ lacked any creativity, and it made the atmosphere in the club stale.What made matters worse was that we were not allowed to take any pictures inside the club. This rule seemed ridiculous, especially since many clubs these days encourage people to take photos and share them on social media. The club's staff didn't seem to give any explanation for the rule, which only added to our frustration.Overall, the experience was disappointing. While the venue itself was nice and the drinks were decent, the lack of variety in the music and the no photo policy really put a damper on the evening. If the club wants to attract repeat customers, they need to step up their game and offer a more exciting and inclusive experience.Waste of money dont go here.

Then no pictures policy and no phones on the dance floor is the best policy I’ve seen. I’ve been telling all my friends about it — this is the way forward to give dancers respect. (The light is a huge distraction for your neighbours trying to dance.) I’ve visited this place before, but the staff and vibe has evolved over the years into truly something considerate and forward thinking. Great staff. Thanks so much for taking care!!!Went for a specific DJ line-up who delivered in spades. Unlikely to find bookings like this anywhere else in the country. Please support and go go go if you see anyone you like coming up!!! Leave your phones at home!
