Customer service from agent Shideh Miran is awful!She is angry always and not responsible agent. If call her she will send you I am in a meeting every time! I think she is very tired and it's time to her to retire.

Lily Chu is very professional, explains clearly in dealing with our transactions. I am happy I was able to obtain fair value afforded to me thru her excellent service and help.

I loved working with Cecilia Huang, however she is on mat leave. And multiple inquiries sent to the agencies email and phone calls when I’m directed to CS Who directs me to back to agency brokers to then being passed back to CS to then letting me I know i need to wait for them to call me back in 3 business days. Unacceptable service from the agents at this office; as I was looking to get a new quote for my brand new vehicle coming shortly.

I received a letter from the Allstate Richmond hill office-1480 Major Mackenzie that your policy will expire in another month and we will offer you a new plan (the new premium plan and total change $ 80 more). The new police will proceed according to this new plan! but if you do not want this plan, inform in writing and say you do not want it. Is this move morally correct? Not giving response doesn't mean the people have given you consent to change the policy...In order to respect its customers, this big company should have said, We have created a new possibility. I am an 8+ year customer with Allstate, who has just had their home insurance policy cancelled with no proper explanation, and given less than 2 weeks notice of cancelation.I had recently purchased a rural property, on an acreage and the principal building is a well built log home constructed by one of the world's premier log and timber home builders. 5 weeks into my coverage I was informed by my agent that they are canceling my home insurance as Allstate does not insure my type of home.The problem lies in the fact that I never withheld that the house is a log home, and despite explaining to my agent numerous times that the building was constructed out of timber (which is fire rated and treated), the policy was implemented with no hiccups. We were then blindsided 5 weeks later when we were informed that our policy was being cancelled and was never offered an explanation why.I am assuming they cancelled the insurance policy because Allstate thinks a log home is an increased fire risk over a conventional home constructed with brick or siding. The reality is (which was explained by my neighbor who happens to be a volunteer firefighter AND an owner of a log home) that log homes actually have a HIGHER fire rating than conventional homes built in subdivisions and are actually at a decreased risk of total loss.I had requested that my agent have a supervisor/manager reach out to me to explain the reason for canceling my policy (which to no surprise never happened)- I had been a client in good standing my entire tenure with NO claims. It's strange how one of the biggest insurance providers are unable to insure my house, I guess they just didn't care for my business.Unfortunately my auto policy just renewed before my cancelled home insurance, but I am looking forward to my renewal period as my new provider is eager to provide me with all the coverage I need.I am sure I will now have a representative contact me after providing a public review!P.S. I am assuming they dropped coverage due to the house being a log home but who knows - they never offered an explanation!

This review intended to be a bad review initially. However, I decided to meet with the manager before venting online. The decision turned this review from one star to five. Nick is a great guy. He gave me his time listening to my concerns, and without taking sides offered a resolution that was both efficient and satisfactory. I hope that I will never need to use my insurance but if I do I know that I can always rely on a help from Nick Bonofiglio. Thank you, Nick!

I worked with Shideh Mirian as she was recommended to me by my son who was happy with her services. When I wanted to switch last year she advised me not to switch but wait for the renewal which I am very grateful. She has saved me a lot of money since I switched this year to Allstate. Her knowledge of insurance policies and matters is really very good, and she is professional.
