The place is a must visit for Shawerma lovers :Pros:- authentic Arab dishes like Shawerma and falafel- they also serve grilled kebbeh ( minced meat with burgle ).- the owner is super friendly- the the atmosphere is attractive

Richmond’s newest Arabic restaurant, I was able to visit last week and was pleasantly surprised.The restaurant is located in a strip mall along Cambie in Richmond. The restaurant itself is not very big but appointed well with ample seating and is beautifully decorated.The restaurant is very clean and has a family vibe and warm atmosphere.Upon entering the restaurant I was warmly greeted by the owner.On this visit I ordered the Arabic shawarma and lentil soup, others in my party ordered similar items.The food was made beautifully and was authentic to the flavours back home. It is priced well and well worth the cost. The service is also great, prompt and friendly.I will have to come back again many times so that I can try the rest of the menu. If you find yourself in the area I am definitely recommending stopping by to eat in or order out.Weekends can get busy as it is quite popular.When searching for the restaurant on Google always look for “Al Basha Original (AlBasha)” and you will find the correct restaurant.

Overall nice experience! Their shawarma was really nice! Chicken was well cooked and delicious! Hummus was okaish! I wish they serve fresh bread with hummus in future!

Ordered chicken plate.Pros: Clean and bright interiorCons: They served me brown and old lettuce in the salad, gave the worker the opportunity to correct the issue but told me it’s fresh because it was cut the same day. Rice was very oily, salad was served with no dressing and chicken was bland.

Delicious and authentic food within this complex. Friendly and welcoming service. I really enjoyed the meal here. I intended to go to another restaurant until my eyes spotted this bright restaurant with their beautiful flooring. We ordered a plate and a wrap and they did not disappoint. The chicken skewers were larger than I expected and very moist as you see in the photo.You would be surprised with the good quality of the chicken and rice dish for the fair price. The wrap had no onions (a win for me) for me to pick out. Now the garlic sauce…it’s always my favourite and I’m so glad they didn’t skimp out on it unlike other competitors. Plus the fries.. i should of ordered more as it was delicious! Overall, it tasted authentic and the spices weren’t overpowering at all. I am so glad my eyes spotted this restaurant tonight. I recommend to drop by if your feeling some shawarma and want some comfort-home cooked food. Thank you for the experience!

This is one of the top Shawarma restaurants in town, possibly even the best. The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction. The restaurant is designed with a unique and comfortable atmosphere, complete with great music that makes you feel like you're in a fairy tale. I thoroughly enjoyed the wrap I ordered, along with a side of fries and tabbouleh, though I have not yet tried all of their menu offerings. Overall, the Albasha plate is my preferred menu item. The restaurant located in this complex serves delicious and genuine cuisine with friendly and welcoming service. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, despite initially planning to dine elsewhere. The restaurant's bright decor caught my eye, particularly the beautiful flooring. We ordered a plate and a wrap, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The chicken skewers were surprisingly large and very moist, as depicted in the photo. The chicken and rice dish was also of high quality, considering the reasonable price. I was pleased that the wrap did not contain onions, as I am not fond of them. The garlic sauce was especially noteworthy, as it was generously portioned, unlike other competitors. Furthermore, the fries were so delicious that I regret not ordering more. Overall, the food had an authentic taste, with just the right amount of spices. I am delighted that I discovered this restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone seeking comfort food or craving shawarma. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience!
