The teachers are talented, knowledgeable and capable. Have in-depth research on traditional Chinese medicine and be good at using simple and clear sentences to explain the profound theory of traditional Chinese medicine and so that students can quickly understand and master the essence of traditional Chinese medicine. The teachers are kind and patient. They always answer the repeated questions of individual students who have difficulties in learning with a gentle attitude. The school has a good learning environment, spacious and bright classrooms, comfortable and relaxed treatment rooms, which bring psychological comfort to both interns and patients. It is not only a place to provide knowledge, get rid of illness, but also relax your body and mind and release your stress. Lovable place.I am proud of being a student of this school. This is my third year, and I will continue my massage study here in the next year.

My experience at CCTCMA from the beginning was very positive, even during hard covid times, teachers and admin staff were always available and ready to help. Our class is a big one, over 30 people, so a lot of challenges to accommodate all of us, still teachers managed to successfully evaluate us individually. I always look forward to come to school as it's a very friendly and positive environment yet professional and high standards treatments. All of my teachers have high education, a lot of experience and human skills. The content materials of all the courses are at the medical school levels, not just Chinese Medicine is taught, but an extensive knowledge of western medicine like anatomy, physiology, pathology etc. are required to succeed to obtain Acupuncture diploma. Personally, I enjoy all the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture classes the most, the president of the school Dr. Du teaches Acupuncture 4, a very important course in order to be successful at the Pan Canadian exam, he is a wonderful teacher with a lot of experience in every field, very interactive and enjoyable to listen to. I am very grateful for all the amazing teachers at the school, with all the knowledge that they share, I just want to take it all in.

I am so lucky to have studied at this school for three years! I graduated from Acupuncture Program this year, I will continue to study here for Massage Program. All the teachers I met here are so kind and knowledgeable. They are always ready to help us understand any questions in our study. Especially in clinic practice, we have learned much experience about how to deal with various conditions. These three years gave a very solid foundation for my future career. Thanks every teacher I met here! Thanks the principal Dr. Du! You are my strong backing!

I graduated from Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. I completed the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in 2021, and passed the Pan-Canadian exam in October of the same year. This school was originally chosen because all the teachers have a very professional educational background and their teaching experience is very rich. The three-year professional study is very challenging, not only to learn theoretical knowledge, but also to continuously practice to improve practical ability and pass various theoretical knowledge exams and clinic practice exams. Although these exams were very difficult, I still enjoyed the three years of study. Because these professional theoretical knowledge and proficient operational skills can bring great help to my future work. I am very grateful to all the teachers for their help and training, and I strongly recommend this school to my classmates who also need help in Chinese medicine.

I am really happy with the new herbology teacher, Dr. Martin Liu. He has excellent communication skills, and really took the time to review TCM Foundation and TCM Diagnosis to help us understand the concepts that are relevant to herbology. Very helpful and kind.

If you are a student, beware. Some staff that are hired have zero teaching experience or schooling, making learning from them very difficult. It takes weeks, sometimes months to receive marks back, and sometimes you never even get to see a test after you have written it, so you go through the entire semester not knowing where you went wrong or where to focus your studies. Also some instructors cannot even bother returning emails, so don't bother asking questions. If you have a work schedule or any sort of life that you need to coordinate with your school schedule, good luck! The school makes zero effort to provide you a schedule in advance, usually only a few weeks to days in advance. Other schools in Calgary give way more notice as they keep a set schedule. They are also drastically changing the schedule timeline and will soon be requiring students to do clinic into evening hours. When many of us started the program we asked what the timeline was like so we could make sure it would coordinate with our other commitments. We were given a general 9 am - 4 pm, and we would not have picked this school had we known they would make this change without even consulting the very people it affects. Instead they keep it quiet and don't inform anyone of changes until very last minute making it very hard to those who have to make accommodations. Also, the school is more concerned about making money than providing a proper education. They accept as many students as they can possibly fit, but then there is not enough room for everybody in the lab room or clinic. Some of the classes require one on one help, like pulse diagnosis and point location, but with only one instructor, they do not have enough time to check everyone's work, meaning you are often left hoping you have done your work correctly, but really have no clue. With class sizes so large they should have two instructors per class for any work that requires one on one help. Also, if you plan on taking the fourth year to become a TCM doctor, you cannot get student loans for it as the school is approved only as a three year program, another thing that isn't disclosed to students until you are well into the program and have to figure these things out on your own. There are also a lot of filler classes, which may seem appealing at first, to learn several different massage techniques, etc., but once you're in it you realize with how heavy the coarse load is and it would be nice if they spent more time just focusing on the classes that are relevant to making us good acupuncturists. Lastly, they have lost some of their best most experienced teachers all in the last year or two, perhaps because of the way the school is run, everything always being kept a big secret, and because the school is overcrowded, leaving the instructors overworked. Doesn't look good on the school.

I’ve been treated by Sage, a student in her graduating year. She is thorough, skilled , intentional, though and knowledgeable. I have seen improvements in my health and well being under her care. I can highly recommend Sage as a practitioner.Karen Klementis
