Simply dog talk - John Watts was simply amazing. I had a wild unruly one year old sheppard-Rotti-Boxer mix and I was unable to reach him. John read him in 20 minutes and we spent the next few sessions working on proper communication for him. My boy responded with happiness, finally relieved in knowing his role and boundaries. Hiring John was a great decision for our dog. Winston was generally well behaved, but became aggressive with the prospect of being left alone (when we left the house, entered the bathroom, etc.). It became a problem that needed addressing when he became aggressive with guests when they tried to walk out the front door. After a single session with John, this behavior was curved. After 4, almost all of Winston's negative behavior is under control.John teaches simple training methods that not only work to eradicate the targeted negative behavior, but generally result in a more obedient dog. I would strongly recommend Simple DogTalk.

We have a six month old corgi named Hunter and we were looking for guidance and obedience training for him. Hunter knew his basic commands but we were looking for just a little bit more. And we got that and so much more out of our experience with John's sessions. John always explained every technique, answered all our questions and was patient with Hunter. John definitely has a special gift when it comes to dogs: upon first meeting him, our generally unruly and obstreperous Irish Setter simply lay at his feet or sat alongside him and craned her neck up toward him to see if John would deign to pet her. It was quite magical to behold; he is indeed Canada's Dog Whisperer. John helped us create a powerful leadership framework and a set of daily rituals so we" could govern our dog within our household

Getting John as a dog trainer was quite possibly the best decision I could've ever made for my dog and I. Odin was reactive, overprotective, painful to walk, and had me scared to take him out of the house or host guests because of how he reacts to other dogs and people. After one session I saw the wonderful dog my puppy was meant to be. He doesn't budge when dogs bark at him on walks, I don't have to worry about getting dragged across the road anymore, and he's actually gotten friendlier towards strangers because John was able to help me understand my dogs behaviour and what he needed from me. I couldn't possibly recommend Simply DogTalk enough.

We've hired Simply DogTalk to help us with handling Ceaser, our gsd, and we couldn't be more happier with the outcome! John is a really friendly guy that actually trained us and showed us what we were doing wrong when handling our then 1 yr old gsd. John was excellent in training our Labrador Retriever, Arthur. As well as teaching us how to appropriately train him. He tailored the weekly training sessions specifically to us and our goals. He helped with deciding which behaviours to focus on in training and which ones are of less concern. John provided the opportunity to train in multiple different settings; starting with our house, then the field that Arthur plays at frequently, and finishing off with training in the woods involving his own dog to help.John provided clarity on a lot of questions we had, and gave tools to continue advancing Arthur’s training. We will definitely be reaching out for future sessions as we progress!
