Absolutely serene, peaceful and full of wildlife. The new west legacy trail is a must do, a gorgeous nature path that's being built from Fairmont to invermere.

Fun trail, with with lots of elevation gain and loss. Great views of Invermere, and mountain ranges from the other side of the lake.

I like the fact that the lake is large. In theory plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. 2 stars because of the native guy screaming about calling his tribe to kick me off his land.Would have been 3 stars but the lake fish are full of worms.When i say full... i mean... i thought the fish had swam through some frog eggs. So i rinsed it, started cleaning it and found many more inside, now moving.I live off natural food as much as i can and have never been so disgusted.Great for your skiboatwakecation but probably wont find me on it again.
