What an experience! Must stick around for 30 min or so, so that you can see boats going up as well as coming down, and do do this from both levels. If you have more time then you can take the paid (no advance online booking possible) waterway and locks cruise.

Don't come to this area often enough but when I do I have a blast. Great area to visit and see how the locks work. It's amazing. I lucked in this trip and got to see about 60 kayakers taking a trip up the Trent.

Very nice and unique experience at the locks. Didn't quite know what to expect but it was very cool to see the infrastructure in action. Peterborough is also a beautiful place and the waters were so lovely and calm.

This close to 80 feet high lift lock is said to be the World's highest hydrolic lift lock. Amazing to see such wonderful architecture still standing tall and working after more than a hundred years.Plenty of free parking and a nice place to visit in summer.

What a great experience at the lock on Saturday. It's such a marvel! Almost 70 kayakers went through together as part of an event. The staff were so kind and also funny! They were very accommodating to us. Thanks for a great time!

Incredible technology. A large houseboat heading one way and two little kayaks heading the other. Beautiful parkland along the way. Easy to find. Easy to park.

Quite an experience watching the two parts of the lock going up and down with the boats. Very high. Recommend a visit.

I have been there twice and it’s a must watch . Kids find it intriguing and love to watch the lifts going up and down. You can do picnic as well as watch boats.

The gentlemen who are operating the locks were amazing folks. They went out of their way to explain to us about how these locks operate.They also had little gifts for the children.Will definitely visit again.Such a beautiful location
