Sew Be It Studio

I offered a full-day class to my girlfriend many weeks ago, that should have happen today… She was prepared to get there 15-20 minutes in advance by leaving early but for some reason, the subway was down and she had to take a TTC shuttle... which has been stopped on the traffic (it has snowed all night). She had the courtesy to call Sew It to be to tell them that she will be late.The person over the phone told her that they wouldn’t accept any late… I mean... Come on guys ! Is 10-15 min going to change anything to a full day training session?She left home happy and looking forward to learn sewing, she was waiting for weeks for this session.. She came back completely desperate.It’s not even about the money (but I’m sure for you this is all about), but it’s the way you treat the people that make your company live! For 15 minutes (and maybe less), yes you have all the money in your pocket, but you lost a person that could have learned and enjoyed her day… And share good things about your company..But instead you have this review !

Had a wonderful time with the Sew Be It team at a recent bra-making workshop. The staff are fun, helpful and educational, and I'm looking forward to doing other classes there. If you have kids, it's a really cute idea for an after school or birthday event. They have something for everyone.

Really bad customer relationship - My story:I left early for the class (which started at 10am). I should have arrived 25minutes before the beginning of the class.But unfortunately, there was no subway from Union Station, where I live. So I had to walk outside (with -28 degrees) to wait a shuttle bus. I waited... and finally the bus arrived. It was 9:25am when I call Sew Be It studio to tell them that I was on a shuttle bus and that I might be late.But UNFORTUNATELY (again) the bus stopped at Osgoode Station. But in my mind it was still fine because I could caught the subway from there, and I would maybe have just few minutes late. I waited 8 minutes the subway, and when it arrived, the driver told us that the line is out of service until St George Station. due to technical issues.I knew I won't be able to make it, even with the 15minutes that Sew Be It studio allows for the delay.It was 9:45 when I called Sew Be It Studio, desperate.I wanted to have this class.And you know what the manager (the manager!) told me ?!We can't control the subway I'm sorry but we'll have to cancel your class"Oh well

I cannot say enough good things about Sew Be It Studio. My daughter has taken classes there for 8 years. She has learnt a slew of new skills, and made countless incredible projects (including a matching dress for herself and her doll). She always looks forward to taking classes there, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I have recommended the studio to many people, and they have been equally as satisfied. 5 stars all the way!

I have previously done sewing at another popular studio in the city and really enjoyed it. When I moved to midtown last month I was looking for something a little closer to home and tried Sew Be It. I can honestly say that I learned more in one class here than 8 weeks at the other studio. They are true professionals who really guide you and really teach you how to create not just how to make that one item. I could not recommend this highly enough, I can't wait to keep working!!

Awesome place to learn sewing techniques. They have classes for all skill levels and special interests. I took garment construction and pant drafting. I had a few years sewing behind me, however there were some things that had me stumped. Attending these classes I was able to get some help in a quick and timely fashion. They allow you to bring whatever pattern you want for garment construction. I will attend more classes here in the future. The atmosphere is relaxing and they limit their classes to I think 4-6 students that way you get a good amount of personal instruction. I really can't say anything bad about this place!

BE CAREFUL - when you register for any of the courses here because if something happens and you provide notice that you need to withdraw they will not refund your money, they say you can go apply the money to another class yet there is no other classes available because they are full. I can understand if they are out of pocket and cannot fill the space but that is not the case. So they are just keeping the money.Would not recommend this camp to others - also the materials the kids are required to purchase for the class from them is overpriced. So watch out!!

My daughter loved sew be it and spent many sessions learning to sew and having fun! From summer camps to weekly classes. She loved her time at sew be and the instructors were very kind.

Great place for every level of sewing... I've never been on a sewing machine ever. The one-on-one attention from the instructor was great. Learnt a lot from this introductory class and I made this fabulous tote bag all in this first class. Amazing! Fabric was provided.
