Went for high tea which was a fun experience and just love the architecture and view! Absolutely incredible views! The games and tables in the lobby are really fun too! We played a nice game of Catan while enjoying the views!

What an amazing place this is.Full of history. A location that's absolutely superb. Properly decorated and furnished to match the look of the outside too.The staff is happy and friendly, helpful and very welcoming. And the food is amazing. It's refreshing to see a menu that is not a mile long as this allows.tjem.tonfovusnon dishes they do prepare and prepare them very very well. And since it's located on a hill with an amazing view, you can simply sit and rest and enjoy your time right here if you don't feel like hiking, biking or any other activities.Have a look and give them a try and enjoy their awesome experience. We'll be back for sure.

The Prince of Wales Hotel was an iconic stop. We had dinner there, and high tea. The dinner was excellent with a beautiful scenic view! The next day we had high tea! We thought we had reservation's, but they weren't showing up. Nonetheless they fit us in, and even got us a vegetarian selection. They were super generous and nice! The hotel seems to need some repairs, but other than that they are doing great! Funny kilts, one server seemed to not be a fan of wearing it, but he was pulling it off ;)!

This review is for afternoon tea. I would rate it a 7/10. Savory sandwiches, the bread was dry. The sweets were fine, nothing stood out. The teas, you can switch to another type of tea at anytime during your tea service. Was expecting traditional crockery but they were plain and ordinary. Staff was friendly and nice.

By far one of the most iconic and relaxing places I've stayed at in a long time. Yes the place is old, but it's built well. The old feeling, creaking floors, and old theme just adds to the beauty of the place. A must stop for anyone looking for a wonderful experience.

I came with family for a day trip, haven’t stayed in the hotel. There is a short hike up from the parking lot to this beautiful place. Friendly & helpful staff, good gift shop with reasonable prices ($45 hoodie- buy one get one 1/2 off on most clothing). The food was delicious, with a great view over the lake for the best pictures. Two restaurants but one doesn’t open until 5pm (in July), they explained that they were short staffed. Historical & amazing building, a must see in Waterton National Park.

A really lovely place to stay in this glorious national park. The Prince of Wales Hotel is historic and iconic. Amazing views and wonderful staff — professional and charming to a person!Sound between rooms carries easily, and all conversations can be heard from either side. Otherwise, a great choice for accommodations in the park. The lobby!PS It would be nice for guests to be able to get coffee in the lobby without having to order breakfast.

The Prince of Whales hotel is definitely historic, dramatic, and beautiful. It is not however, luxurious, comfortable (by modern standards), nor quiet. It is in desperate need of a refit and some investment.First, all of the young staff we came in contact with were not only friendly and courteous, but they also seemed happy to be there and genuine in their hospitality. Each of them seemed to be doing all the jobs. Help with bags, drinks, dinner service, and elevator rides were provided by everyone. The rooms were unique and clean but threadbare with old, but not authentically-old, furniture. Beds were so-so. We were on the fourth floor and had an adjoining room with our kids. At normal speaking volumes we could hear every word they were saying through the walls. Our room also adjoined the room on the other side and we could join their conversations as well...The bathroom was puzzling. the shower did have water but no pressure. I joked that the Pope sprinkles holy water on people harder. The shower was good-sized which made me wonder why the toilet was so small and short. Comically short. The bar, called the Windsor Lounge, was the least authentic part of the hotel we saw. When you hear Windsor Lounge you might picture a gathering of aristocrats in days gone by but this is more of a gathering spot after bowling. The bar top had wood paneling resembling a 70's suburban basement. The back bar used common track shelving to display the bottles. Looking at Amazon it appears the shelving cost around $150 to install. My least favorite detail was the completely unnecessary, totally out of place, poorly hung neon sign reading, cocktails."Don't let my complaints dissuade you from staying here but they are precautions."

half hour parking is free if anyone just wants to come and take pictures of the hotel and the beautiful location. many movies have been shot here. it's really picturesque. worth the visit if it's good weather. we were lucky it was not raining. but it was windy. hotel seems to be nice. the lobby is grand. they do have good network services.

The Prince of Wales Hotel is a gem in the heart of Waterton Lakes National Park. The hotel itself is stunning and is built in the style of a Swiss Chalet. The hotel is nearly 100 years old and it still looks incredible. It also has commanding views of the park.We did not stay at the hotel, but instead came for afternoon tea. The tea itself was excellent was sourced from a company in Banff, AB. Our sever was great, although we did have to wait a while before getting our first tea selection. Not a big deal overall. The food was excellent and my only critique is that the cucumber sandwich was rather salty. Other than that, the food was excellent and well worth the price. The parking situation at the hotel is not bad. You get free parking for 30 minutes, but all day parking is $10.50.Overall, the hotel is excellent and I look forward to coming back and booking a stay in one of the rooms.
