Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Coquitlam - Creekside

The staff at this centre are amazing. They are extremely supportive and patient with their students. I have been at Kumon for 13 years and they have shown me immense support throughout my math and reading program. As a program completer for math and reading, I am so grateful for the staff's guidance. They are super accomodating with students' schedules and workloads. Kumon not only helped with my academics, but the staff here watched me grow up, and they have given me nothing but support and care, and encouraged me to do my best.

Appreciating the effects of Kumon classes on children's academic performance is subjected to parents and students prospectives and their expectations from education they seek.Kumon methods have provided my children the most critical skills required for every academic subjects: fast high accuracy thinking and calculating for mathematics, and quick comprehensive reading ability that is essential for effective studying.My children have been attending Creekside Kumon center for past five years and the service and support we have received from the knowledgeable, supporting and friendly people at creekside center have added much more values to Kumon classes. The staff at this Kumon are very friendly and kind. My son is 3 years old and he can now write his name and read basic words. His coloring, drawing and writing skills have all improved after joining Kumon. My daughter is in grade 1 and can find talking to unfamiliar people challenging. Today she won 1st in a poetry reading contest at her elementary school for reading the most poems to people. Only 3 people were selected for this in her entire school. Kumon has given her more confidence and belief in herself. The guidance and support have been really positive. My daughter gets excited when she takes tests because she wins little prizes and stickers. Both math and English skills have improved. With the plethora of activities we put our kids in ie swimming, rock climbing, dance, gymnastics, piano etc I am glad we chose Kumon as well! Thanks to all the staff and Mr. Roger too!

I have been a student at this Kumon centre for over 10 years. The staff is very kind, patient and care about the students a lot. They are very understanding and have always encouraged me to keep working hard. I’m so grateful for Kumon, as it has not only improved my academic skills, but also allowed me to learn the importance of time management. I was very fortunate to have started Kumon at this specific location, as the instructors there are truly amazing. Without their help, I wouldn’t have been able to continue Kumon and become a program completer. As I’m graduating high school this year, I will miss this centre and the hard working staff so much. I have had a very positive experience here and would recommend this centre to anyone wanting to improve their academic skills, while learning many important lessons as well.

We have had a positive and encouraging experience with Kumon. The instructor had given us a very thorough orientation and provided us with a clear learning expectation goal. She was also very proactive and has set up a meeting with us to discuss our daughter's progress after 3 months. The assigned worksheets was also reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that there is a balance workload between her school work and the extra-curricular activities. The team are always competent, effective, patient, and friendly. During this unprecedented time, we opted to use their online learning platform. The team continued to maintain their professionalism and excellent service. There are times when our daughter has challenge over a new or a specific math topic, the team would patiently demonstrate the steps to her and to ensure that she is fully understood. We would highly recommend Kumon.

A joke of a place. The Kumon system advertises that you can start your child as early as 3 years of age but the facility is not conducive to that. It's a huge open space that they just slap everyone into. Meanwhile, you're not supposed to talk as to not disturb others, but try telling that to a 3 year old. Parents are passive aggressive if your child intervenes into their lesson time" and it's literally children looking after children.The worksheets are all based on repetition and there is no active learning. It is basically all memorization and speed

My son has been going to Creekside Kumon since 2019 (when he was in grade 1 )and it has made a huge impact on his math & reading proficiency. We are very happy with the the staff— they are extremely hardworking, responsive and respectful. We are so grateful for their dedicated efforts! I would highly recommend Creekside Kumon to all parents.

My kid has been attending Kumon for approximately three years, Kumon gives her confidence in her school work, she even helps classmates in math. The staff in Kumon are very helpful and dedicated, they go above and beyond to help students, that’s priceless.

We have been with Creekside Kumon since 2014 and found the staff very professional and supportive. Having Kumon over the past 2 years during COVID was especially beneficial, as schools struggled to deliver consistent programs.While this is an investment in time and effort, as well as financially, the benefits have shown in continued good results for our 12 year old. School marks are maintaining high levels as we approach high school.Having this confidence is thanks to the team at Kumon and years of support with all parties.We have no hesitation to recommend Creekside Kumon and the instructors. They are committed to provide the help students need to progress in the program and more than willing to work with varying schedules to accommodate extra curricular activities, sports, vacations, etc.Overall, the program has worked well in supporting our student through school.
