They do not allow bags/mobile/smartwatch. Also there is no safe place to leave your belongings. There should be some place where belongings can be left safely.

Well for PCC, in my case police report was not clear from one of the place I lived, as local police couldn't verify it. So it was with embassy for review for almost two weeks, I was very worried about the process and time it will take. I wrote couple emails to consuls but never got any reply. But after two weeks status got changed and PCC was ready for issuance. Finally I got relaxed, and realized that there may be so many people trying to reach out to them and it will be extremely difficult for them to even response in timely manner. And I understand that if one thing is not in order, it takes time for them to arrange it. Keep working hard. Jay Hind.

Honestly this has been the worst service experience of my life. BLS and the Indian Consulate have made me the most disappointed in humanity in a while. They have had my passport and visa application for almost two months. Nobody answers the phone or emails and nobody will give you an update on your application. My flight to India is in two days and I am likely going to have to cancel the whole thing. I cannot say my disappointment enough. I have never been so frustrated or cried so many times trying to get general information. I would give zero stars if I could.

I visited here for my tatkal passport renewal. The process was smooth except that Google shows the fees as $302 instead of $282. So, I had to change the money order at Canada Post which is just a few blocks away. Make sure you get all your documents which may seem optional like written request for the passport. You also should take email approval before you head out there as mentioned in the tatkal guidelines. The building is close to transit so you can walk in a few mins from the Waterfront station. The staff is courteous and helpful. However, the process and signage for services is not very clear which could be improved. It would also help if they have a defined ETA for acknowledging the request for clearance and responding back.

I had a wonderful experience with the Consulate General of India, Vancouver. Last year, my wife had a family emergency in India, and I had to apply for an emergency visa. We went to the Consulate, and the staff was very helpful. They not only understood the situation but also guided us through the process. The visa was issued within a day, and I was able to fly with my wife to India. Great staff!

What a god awful experience it has been dealing with them and BLS. Paid 84$ to send in my passport & all my paperwork. Four months and one cancelled trip to India later I requested my passport back because I was tired of it sitting in the consulate not being processed. I asked for a refund as the service I paid for was not provided and it has been a nightmare trying to talk to anyone. The phone calls get dropped multiple times and each person you talk to tells you something completely different. I will NEVER go through this process again nor reccomend it. What an embarrassment for India.

Good service, very friendly staff. Only thing disappointing was the cell phone arrangement. Visitors had to leave phones outside unattended. I wish they could have a locker system. The consulate could charge for the locker service to cover the expense. Otherwise no complains. Good experience overall.

When I called every option dirrects to a pre recorded message that asks people to email or check the website with any questions. But when emailed, no response. I'm still waiting after 7 days to get a simple reaponse to my email.

It’s very streamlined if you book an appointment online. I came in and was called within couple minutes. Great service provided by the lady at the desk. Quick service I must say :)
