Hudson's Bay

There were lots of good deals when I went. The staff when we saw them were friendly. I love a good department store but they are becoming extinct. I will come back for the deals.

I can’t stop myself from writing this positive review today. We visited Bay- Mayfair, Victoria ,BC to buy a suit for our 15 year old son to attend a wedding in a week. James , employee from Men’s suite Department went above and beyond to help us. It was really hard to find exact match and sized pants for our son. James worked with us and ran around 2 hours to get that exact sizing and fit without even taking his break. He also saved our trip to bay centre by checking availability. Such a positive person and experience which makes you believe this kind of customer service still exists in this fast paced world. On our way back home, we were all thinking a way to appreciate him other than our heartfelt thanks . So thought of writing this google review , otherwise I don’t usually do reviews. My son is quite happy for his suit.Bless your heart James. Thanks again.

The Bay is not what it used to be and this location is looking tired. There is no love put into this site and it shows. The only saving grace is that the Bay has some good sales. But in terms of stock, I'm not sure who stocks this site but as far as womens clothes go, I'm pretty sure the buyer is older because the style choices are not super up to date

This location is always a mess. Clearly they are understaffed. The only visible associates are at the checkout or at the cosmetics and jewelry counters.The clothing racks are messy, and there’s no one to assist. The associate at the checkout is rude and abrasive and not helpful.The decor is old and tired. This store is in desperate need of a makeover and more staff.

My reasoning behind my rating is because 1. When I bought something online then asked if I could return it in store they said yes so I bring it the following day they wouldn’t let me return it.And 2nd they are selling sauces like tomato sauce and hot sauce (which are overpriced ) they are a month past their expiry date which is a health risk and I fell into the trap of buying. Hopefully I can return it and get refunded

Absolutely no floor staff. Clothes falling off the racks, all over the floor and on top of the racks, a complete mess.Used to have a top-notch Plus Dept now it is a joke. A few racks here and there scattered around.Was looking for a bathing suit. They had maybe 4 small racks and very little on the racks.I wonder how long before the Bay is no more !!??

Love Hudson's Bay. ❤️ I went in there looking for something in particular but they didn't have it. It was Cologne for men called Bad boy, #bad boy Instead of just leaving I bought a woman's perfume called Fame, #fame. It is a very sweet smell.I have always bought all my colognes and perfumes from the Bay for many years.. They usually have the biggest and best selection and have what you're looking for.I'd have to say I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the kind I wanted this time.

Went in to get some new Cologne. The staff was helpful and friendly. Very knowledgeable and understood what I was looking for. Made great recommendations. Would definitely recommend these people. Thanks for the great service

All sales reps were not friendly and welcoming, not helpful and I waited ten min for the man in the show dept to bring me shoes that were the wrong size. I had to compare them to the display shoe to prove it and he didn't offer to get me the right size and color to try on so I didn't buy any shoes. I was there for nearly a hour and none of the six ladies I saw offered help or even acknowledged me. I ended up buying a dress over a hundreds dollars to be treated as if I wasn't even there.m
