North York Eye Clinic

My children and I have been patients of this clinic for years. Dr Julie Yoo is very patient and very committed to her work, she gives each patient the necessary time to care for their eyes and what they require for better vision, we are very confident in her knowledge and personally we will continue to visit her clinic. The girls that work with her are nice and work well.

Amazing doctor, so polite and nice. The staff was extremely patient with getting all the tests done.

They gave me the wrong prescription. I went in for comprehensive eye exam then ordered my glasses from them. Soon after, I noticed something wasn't right, despite the glasses, my vision was still blurry. So I tried to reach out, called them severally, no one ever answered. I had to do something about it cause I couldn't even trust myself to drive with the glasses. Eventually I called up a different eye clinic and went in for an exam (they were hesitant to do it and said there wouldn't be any significant difference if any at all since the prescription from North York isn't even up to a year but I insisted), o boy were they wrong. Turned out the accurate power for both eye is higher than what North York printed on paper for me and on top of that, I have astigmatism which North York Eye Clinic either missed or didn't bother testing. Like howVery disappointing. Had to immediately order a new pair from the new place. Needless to say, I won't be returning to North York clinic, no thanks. I do like the girl at the front desk, she's nice.

Dr. Yoo provided excellent emergency service on a Sunday afternoon. She was quick, kind and very knowledgable, in an unusual and unpleasant situation. I highly recommend this clinic!

Been going to Dr. Julie Yoo for 6 years now and has been a great experience. She is knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and professional.Today during my eye exam I casually asked her about Lasik and she was able to list the pros and cons quickly, along with the different providers and range of pricing. She was also happy to explain to me my prescription and condition in layman terms. I was super impressed.

Very happy with my Doctor. Julie YooCame to see her for an emergency because my eye was hurting quite a bit. She was very nice and explained everything in great detail. They were able to take me in an hour after I called so I was very happy about that. Rarely do you find such nice doctors that actually take the time to explain everything to you. Will definitely come back with any eye related issues. Thank you!

It was my first visit to the particular Clinic and the attending specialist , Doctor optometrist , did invest at least half an hour examining my ...vision and I knew in advance that it won't be a kind of regular" case ( for the specialist ...)So

Too expensive. The price of the eye exam is 30% more than other clinics. I paid $130 for an eye exam without contact lens prescription. Learned the lesson.

Went in to get measured and all for laser eye surgery. The staff were all great and friendly, but the receptionist asked if I had to pay or not. I was told it would be a free consultation so she accepted that, but seems like it's not a standard practice whether or not patients pay for that service.Next I went to a series of machine with some wonderfully kind and young staff, it was very quick and they were happy to answer all my questions and I was done for that session. Following this there was one follow up call with a lady regarding the cost and if I wanted to proceed. I asked about the healthcare worker discount that is advertised on the website, she didn't know about it but she said she would ask. Never heard back from that day regarding price. I received a follow up voicemail stating my scheduled appointments. I tried to call back to the clinic to confirm, but the wait times were ridiculous. seems like they wanted to pencil me in without verbally confirming if I could make it or not, Which I would think is important since I would need to make sure it fits my schedule (including recovery time). Could never reach through to the clinic since their line is always so busy, and never got a call back. I didn't feel accommodated or valued as a customer. I felt like I was just another appointment to pencil in at their convenience. For the price that laser is and how important my eyes are to me, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

North York eye clinic has been my go to place since more than 2 years now. Dr. Yoo is very helpful and treats her patients very well.She give great feedback on what should be done and how you can improve your eye vision. Quick FYI- the clinic requires pre booking or advanced appointment. Also visit their website for timings. They also have a vast variety of frames.
