I hired Colleen from interior images to do the power view roller blinds on my big south facing windows. I explained to her that I was particular on how I wanted them, not seeing any cords, and she reassured me she could make me happy. She used electrical tape and taped the cords down the wall. Wasn’t exactly what I had in mind, but it was ok. My other option she gave me was staples. The tape eventually fell within a few months catching on the blinds. During this time I also had blinds fraying and then a motor quitting. She came out fixed the motor, frayed blind and changed out the cords so I could not see them and make me happy. She then sent me a $400 bill for the fix. Which I explained I didn’t think I should have to pay as they were not installed to my satisfaction, so I didn’t pay that bill.Since then my blinds have frayed again, and another motor went and she told me I need to find someone else as she is not willing to fix them.After talking to Hunter Douglas and a different rep I found out that these blind are fraying because they are most likely not installed properly as roller blinds need extra TLC and to make sure they are level, otherwise they will fray down one side.Hunter Douglas warranty doesn’t pay for travel or fixing repairs they only cover parts, but when the installation isn’t done properly I do expect the company that installed the blinds will correct their mistakes.Colleen is refusing to fix my blinds so I will have to hire someone else and pay for a job that wasn’t done properly the first time.
