Most places were crowded, with parking spots a big concern. However, there were abundant options so it worked out one way or the other. Car pooling did help. Restrooms were available, that was a relief. Weather changed suddenly but forecast did help even if not accurate. Loved the natural abundance in Jasper and got to see wildlife as well.

One word to describe this park…. INSANE!!! Driving the Icefields Parkway was hands down the best drive of my LIFE! I have road tripped across Colorado, Utah, Washington and more and this location is simply unmatched. From the winding rivers to the milky teal glacial lakes to the towering snow capped mountains, this place is MAGIC!!! I already cannot wait to come back when I have more time. We saw so much wildlife, everything from bears to moose and elk, it was a surprise around every turn! If you are thinking about a trip here, DO IT! BOOK THE TRIP!!! You will be AMAZED!!!

Jasper National Park was so beautiful. There were lots of scenic trails and roadside views. The Athabasca glacier/ice fields area is nice and educational. The Athabasca falls were also amazing and practically right of the road too. Meligne Canyon was just incredible a longer hike it was one of my all time favorite trails. There are Elk that just walk in groups throughout the city of Jasper in the morning, and the gondola provided spectacular views of the mountains and city, there are also trails at the top well worth checking out. The ice fields parkway going from Jasper to Banff is an unbelievably scenic drive, which many of the attractions are located on. (note there is little to no cell service on the road). With so many things to do I’d recommend a couple days at least for this park the Canadian Rockies with Banff and Yoho NPs has been one of my favorite places to visit cant recommend it and Jasper NP enough.

This park is stunning and the wildlife is plentiful! It's definitely worth the short drive from Banff. If you can, get out on Maligne lake for panoramic mountain views.

Mesmerizing! Wildlife at afternoon on Overlander, at spring season. Most of the lakes are still frost by April. However, mountains are gorgeous.
