We were here to get our SINs. The lady who worked with me, was helpful and nice, I got everything done within an hour. But the lady who worked with my husband, was quite rude and didn’t want to help much.

Not so bad for today, applying passport for my daughter because we’re going to US in 12 days, got in the line at 8.11 am. finished at 11.35 am. all the Service Canada staffs were very helpful, try to find them and ask them before you get in any lines they’re provided bottle of water and mask for everyone, knock out 2 stars because there are 3 windows open for express service but only 2 windows have staff to do the job and they both often take time for a 15 minutes break, they were really helpful but look so overwhelmed, understandable. Pay extra $50 for express pickup and will pick up my daughter passport in 10 days.

EDIT: I’m editing to say that I could not be more happy with the level of customer service here, as I got my passport SIX DAYS after dropping it off!As far as tedious, government application processes go, this was by far one of my best experiences.I got there at 6am, first in line. I was at the wrong door so a security guard came to guide me to the right door, which was very kind because I would’ve waited at the wrong door all day. If you’re going for passport or SIN, it’s the middle entrance on Hastings St, the wooden doors, NOT the two glass door entrances on either side of the building. All the staff were SO friendly and communicative. They organized us quickly and efficiently, and I was all finished by 8:45!Definitely still get there early, because by 6:30 there was a line but they were quick in getting the first batch of people through.

I am very impressed with the service I received at this Service Canada Centre. I dropped off my completed passport renewal application on June 16th, and picked up my new passport two weeks later. The office was very busy during both my visits. I spent approximately an hour waiting for my turn the first visit, but bypassed the long line and waited less than ten minutes to pick up my passport. The staff were helpful and courteous, and process was efficient.

Worst experience, ever!Canada supposed to be(and still is) a great country for diversity and inclusion. The woman handled my case was extremely mean to me.1. I can't pronounce the name of street of my address, so I just spell the words to her. She said you're supposed to speak out to me, not spelling.2. I'd like to write my parent's name on paper for the agent, which avoid miss understanding. She said you're supposed speak out to me, not writing.3. The systems can't process my SIN for unknown reason. Then she starts to ask me questions seriously. Like: is this your first time applying SIN? Are you sure? Are you first time here? All sounds like it my fault and she's blaming at me.4. When she's filling the form for me, she ask for my work permit and then give it back, and then just pull it away from me again w/o even asking. Extremely rude!I hope people will treat each other nicely with respect. No one deserve this.

We went here to get our SIN and even though there was a bit of wait involved, overall it was a very positive experience for us at this place. Here is some information that might help anyone who is planning to visit this centre:1. The centre opens at 6 AM. If you get here sooner than that, you need to wait outside the building.2. Once you enter the building, make sure you form or join the queue for SIN. There will be a seperate line for passports. So, make sure you are in the right queue.3. Carry some light breakfast with you to keep you satiated while you wait. The good thing about this Service Canada centre is that it is inside a covered building (Sinclair centre) and so you will be protected from the elements.4. Make sure you carry a mask with you when you are going here. No mask, no entry to the Service Canada centre.5. You will need to carry your passport and the work permit document to get your SIN number. Make sure that you have them in your hand when you walk in to meet the officer inside to avoid any delays.6. Since you might be new to the country, you might not have your current address and your new Canadian phone number memorized yet. In which case, consider having them written on a piece of paper and take that with you so that you can provide the right details when the officer asks you.7. Make sure that the spelling for your name, your DOB, and your phone number are all correct when the officer reiterates them back to you. It's a tedious process to get them rectified in case of mistakes. Now, here is my own personal experience at this centre. My wife and I went to this place around 7:30 AM. There was already a queue for SIN and it had about 12 people in it. We joined the same. Processing of the first person started at 8:30 AM sharp. Our turn came at around 9 AM. The officer who processed mine was really friendly and we chit-chatted a little before he asked me to write down my address, phone number and a passcode for future identification. Once my details were recited back to me and I confirmed that they were correct, he proceeded to take a print out and got me my SIN document. My wife and I were out of the door by 9:15 AM.

I went with my 88 year old friend to get her passport renewed. The people at the passport office were incredibly patient and I truly appreciate the efforts made to expedite the process for a senior. With gratitude and thanks for a job well done!

Air Canada ripped my girlfriends passport at the time of check in so they wouldn’t let us board the plane. This was on a Saturday. We had to wait until the passport office opened on Monday, they were able to issue her a new passport same day Monday and now we can travel to Japan Tuesday! We’re so happy .. thank you !

Terrible service. Didn't get the name of people on staff today, but the younger workers are unprofessional and intolerable.
