U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

So tried to rent a truck from him and the truck was sitting outside but door was locked and the hours said it was open. Heard something going on inside so went out back and he was oil spraying a truck. Said he had to finish the truck first and that I had to book it through the online uhaul app that doesn't work either. Said he just couldn't rent it to me. Then said maybe I should go over to the one across town so I can pay the mileage of. 89 cents a km and pay both ways when where I needed to go was right around the corner from him. I guess U-Haul is really lucky they are the only game in town because you sure get terrible service from where ever you go.

No one showed up at our pickup time. Left us without a truck.

Awful. Do not rent with this guy. You get there and he makes you write your credit card info on paper. I was supposed to be charged $71 but was charged $100 because he charges for gas WHICH I ALREADY FILLED UP FOR HIM. Luckily I got a refund but don’t waste your time with this scammer trust me.

He rents Uhaul trucks but doesn’t give you any paperwork and The reason is his printer and computer are broken. He takes all your info on a piece of paper including credit card info. I was not comfortable proving it on paper and he assured me he will put the paper in “trash”. This is the worst part, I booked the truck for $89 but he charged me $123. I booked over phone and I don’t have a contract to take to him, so he charged whatever he want. So if you want to pick up trick from him, be careful.
