Could not have asked for more. Yes, they are more expensive than your lowest bid. But they actually really know about what works with heritage homes, what colours are appropriate, what unique challenges exist. They are also experienced professional painters producing high quality work - you do not want newly minted college kids working on your heritage home (or really any home, I can tell you from experience). Also on time, courteous, and are not trying to sell you something you don't need. In all ways, very high value for the money spent.

Heritage Painting did an outstanding job on the exterior of our heritage listed 1910 home. They spent several days doing extensive pre-painting preparation before even starting to paint; even more sanding and filling then I had expected (plus some minor repairs to parts of the exterior). They applied a quality exterior primer and hand painted the entire house using high quality paint blended to our heritage era colours. They did the job expertly and completely, no short cuts were taken. The job was expensive, but the extra work and professionalism were well worth the cost. We would use them again with no hesitation.

I used Heritage Painting & Decorating to remove and hang wallpaper in my clients powder room. David was very helpful and efficient, the installer did a great job and my client is extremely happy! Thank you, I will definitely be using them again!

David and his fantastic team are honestly the best paint and wallpaper professionals I have ever hired! Their absolute meticulous attention to detail, the edging is perfect, the wallpaper 'seams' disappear! Here are pictures of just one, of the 4 wallpaper installs they did for us (had to go fun for the laundry room!). We also had them install a metallic cork wallpaper, which makes our master bedroom dazzle. I can't recommend them highly enough. On top of this, they are incredibly professional, you don't get the runaround, they come when they say they will and finish on or before schedule at a fair price. These guys are seriously the best. You can thank me later.

We hired Heritage last summer to paint our 1930’s Dunbar character house. Their quote was competitive with our other quotes so went with them. David was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. The final cost was as per the quote with only a small amount of changes. No surprises. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how professional, courteous and friendly the painting crew was. We hired this company to put up wallpaper in my son’s nursery. All my correspondence with David was prompt and polite. The gentleman who came to do the work was so kind, he noticed a flaw in the paper and even knew who I should contact to have the paper replaced. He returned once we had the new paper and did an amazing job even explaining to me a bit of the process. Everything was left clean and this paper application was impeccable. I will certainly use them again!
