I want to start off on a positive note. I have purchased items from this store before and the gloves I got were of excellent quality. They were very expensive but well made.I called this morning to ask if they carried Ladies Leather Gloves for my wife...it is her birthday coming up. With the excessive shut down of our economy, hurting retails stores among the hardest I thought I would support a local retailer.I tried to buy this on line but their gloves were not featured on their web site.I do not wear a mask. I have a condition that does not allow for it. I entered the store and they told me to wear a mask. I kept my distance and I told them that I had a condition that would not allow me to wear one.And under the by-law this is allowed (see by-law BY-LAW 541-2020) and clearly laid out in section 2(5). I tried to explain and offered to purchase the gloves outside the store. They told me to leave the store.I offered to remain at a distance and put on a bandana but they told me to leave and they did not want my business. There were quite aggressive and told me I was endangering their lives. Masks will not stop any virus, neither will fear. This is becoming very clear all over the world. With 166 Canadians dying of Covid OUTSIDE of long term health care facilities in 8 months (CTV news Nov 15/20 Broadcast 11 pm) this is hardly a danger, especially if you are wearing a mask which they were.If you have a disability or cannot wear a mask this store is not for you. There were 3 employees and Zero other customers. Unlikely they will survive, Sad.

I have worked with Dan and John Kahnert for almost 30 years now. They are honourable, professional and friendly in all our interactions. They also helped my wife and I to get a fur coat for my wife in 1997. My wife loves the coat and wears it regularly to church and special occasions. It looks as good as new.

Great service, beautiful coats and fantastic prices. Really great place! Bought a stylish wool coat and was helped by really lovely and knowledgeable people. Would definitely come back again.

I went to Kahnert's looking for a warm winter coat. I don't think I've ever received better service by a retailer - anywhere, anytime. I went into the store dressed quite poorly and was treated with the utmost respect. This is an unusual experience in Canada, where clerks tend to give you the once over and come to a snap judgement about who you are. I ended up buying two coats and am going back to purchase a purse.Secondly, the quality of their coats is superb. I LOVE my coats and get enormous pleasure from wearing them. Can't recommend this establishment enough.

Do an excellent job repairing older fur coats and have a lovely selection of new furs.
