Oh boy these reviews are a hoot. I love the ones that say I will never go back. As if any of us come to the hospital for fun. Anyhow, great doctors and nurses and staff. Very attentive in what is probably a very stressful environment. Yes, there was a wait. I don't believe at the fault of any of the staff. By the time I went home I had my x-ray red to me found the source of the problem and created a quick treatment plan going forward. I can't ask for a better visit. Keep up the great work everyone!

I had the best service. Only had 1 person that was grumpy and abrupt with me. The residents were amazing. I came in for a second opinion as my symptoms were not OK and St.Catharines general sent me home in pain and no answers for it. Hamilton General was amazing. Thank you for figuring it out!

My mom was admitted May 29th with burns. The nurses were absolutely amazing. Thank you to all your hard work and dedication. My mom was treated with so much love and care.Our family is so grateful for everything that was done to get our mom to a good healing stage in her life.Thank you

The management at this hospital is actually a joke - not even a funny, one might I add. There is no incentive to working at this hospital; the working environment is not welcoming nor friendly, and that is not an issue created by the workers - it is directly a result of management that is trying to put profits first before the care of their employers and patients. They are understaffed, resulting in overworked and overstressed staff. Not only is that a danger for the staff themselves, it is a danger for the patients they care for. The workers themselves are lovely and doing the best they can with these horrible working conditions. I hope one day there will be management that can actually manage properly, rather than managing the amount of extra bucks they can fill their pockets with.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. There’s been a couple of times where I’ve come in for testing/procedures and was nervous because of my anxiety disorder. All of the doctors I have met are so lovely and comforting. I’ll give a special shout-out to Betty Chui in the outpatient clinic and Ruth Smith in the medical diagnostic unit. Both lovely ladies.

this is a rating for the ENT clinic. although the doctors are kind and involved, why am i being told to be there 10 minutes prior to my appointment at 11:45am IF I WONT BE SEEN UNTIL 1PM?! Like the wait times are absolutely ridiculous and absurd. maybe don’t over book people in. I’m absolutely furious about it. As a brain tumour patient i have multiple other appointments i have to get to and things to do. Clearly our time means nothing here.

My partner and I came here with respiratory concerns last week. The wait was long and communication throughout the day was lacking. That said, the staff were incredibly compassionate and took their time to understand our concerns. Considering the mass underfunding of our healthcare system, I felt that the hospital was effective with their limited resources. Compared to other hospitals in Hamilton, I strongly suggest coming here.

I don’t know how to rate this. My wife had a bad fall, sent here from West Lincoln Memorial with fractured wrist and broken knee cap. No sharing of information, no promises kept from west Lincoln. With her medical condition it was advised that surgery to both areas was eminent and the sooner the better. We have been here three days and half way through the fourth day. Still no surgery. We realize this is a trauma hospital and with the long weekend there were other priorities in the OR. BUT REALLY!!!?? I can’t get any answers. Every day they tell us, “surgery tomorrow for sure” can’t wait for tomorrow to happen. The staff are amazing but hands are tied in this type of issue.I’ll bet Doug Ford wouldn’t wait this long in this hospital no matter what emergencies were going on!!!

Hospitals are a terrible place to be in to begin with, but the weekend staff is the worst. This applies to week as well a but, but they neglect patients, rush them, and when we tell one nurse something they don't update the rest.I know they are busy, but there is no right to treat patients like that. Giving their patients time and making sure they are getting proper food so they can get better should be key. All it ever seems like is they only work for the money, not for the love and care for people.
