DoubleTree by Hilton Edmonton Downtown

Fairly new hotel close proximity to the Shaw conference center. Location of the hotel let’s just say don’t walk alone at night if your female. The hotel itself was excellent Hilton quality. Spacious king size room, large TV, big couch, comfortable bed, warm quilt & soft pillows ! Coffee maker, good size fridge. Upon check must ask for housekeeping service or you won’t get clean towels. I did enjoy a nice warm cookie upon checking in. The restaurant and bar is spacious on the 2nd floor the food is good. Drinks are a bit pricey.The hot tub is quite large and feels good after a long day of travel & meetings. The price is reasonable for building on the edge of downtown. The only negative mention would be about not getting our room cleaned with fresh towels after 3 phone calls to the main desk .

Found on website. Was told it had continental breakfast. NOPE, breakfast is minimum $20 per person. Checked in at 5pm. Room not ready, was told we would have to wait. BahahaGot a different room after saying “no not waiting any longer. Room had no coffee or cups. Hot tub is a small kids pool. Jets work yes! Hot tub… lol Barely warm.Will never stay here again. One of our worst experiences of a hotel. Hilton is supposed to be a good hi end name for hotels. Definitely NOT!! Also… parking… $30 per day after paying this for a hotel. OMG what a joke.

I would like send a huge shout out to the front desk for taking care of me on my birthday weekend. I appreciate yall.The rooms were beautiful. I loved the view from my room. It's also reasonable priceThe only thing I did not appreciate was the bar staff was very rude. I did not appreciate their attitude. Do better.Other then that the hotel its self was gorgeous. And the staff down stairs did a great job in greeting me.

This is a nice hotel. We had a few challenges, in-room phone didn’t work, room service was challenging to order, but the staff was excellent and went above and beyond to help. The location is a little far to the east in downtown, but generally pretty convenient, especially if the weather is nice and you don’t mind walking.

Awesome rooms, great views of River Valley, didn't like the fact that the standard rooms had no microwave, had asked if microwave was available and front desk agent said yes, but I had to then request one for the room. Like the underground parking as well. Good food too.

It's a beautiful hotel in a rough area. The room was spacoius with a decent bed and a sitting area, which was nice as I was sharing with a friend so we had a place to sit and catch up. The on-site lounge/restaurant had a wonderful blend of seating; casual conversation areas through to tables with builtin power supply to charge our electronics while enjoying happy hour appies and drinks. Unfortunately, it's not somewhere I would stay again due to the 'neighborhood'; too close to the obvious vagrancy issue the city is facing.

We rented the meeting room for class, we also stayed at hotel room during class period. This is a new, modern, clean Hilton hotel. Overall, staff are very friendly and willing to help. We'll defiantly come back for business purpose

I really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff were absolutely fantastic. The restaurant staff was lacking, but maybe because they were understaffed. The food was delicious. Our room was very nice. We were on the 9th floor, and the view was beautiful. Housekeeping was good as well. Keep in mind, you have to request that your be cleaned. It is not automatic.

Great check in experience - front desk manager rocked! Great beard my man! Room is lovely, exactly what we wanted. Negative - $35/night Parking! Ran next door to the liquor store - thought I was on East Hastings! Tags & graffiti, Broken windows! People day tripping in the street, garbage everywhere, everyone asking for change. I get it homelessness and poverty everywhere BUT if I pay $200 for a room, something has to change!
