Room was small, fireplace was disabled and was part of the selling feature on the website. There was a wedding and we were surrounded by the guests who proceeded to part till 4am. When we asked at 12am if there was something that could be done we were told it's out of their control. Got the same answer every hour after that. When we gave up trying to sleep and checked out early which they tried to fine us for.

Great spot for kids to play on and for beginner surfers, sheltered by big rocks, but still get big waves on a windy day. Because it's a public beach, it can get busy at dusk with kids playing and young crowd taking sunset pictures. If you're looking for a quite spot, need to home a little further towards Crystal cove.

Mackenzie Beach will always have a special place in our hearts. We visited Tofino last week for the first time and stayed on the beach at Best Western Tin Wis. Waking up and seeing the ocean everyday was incredible and it drew us out, going for walks on this beach everyday. So fun to walk and explore, while just taking in nature around you. You can also have fires on the beach here. Loved it.
