Burnaby Montessori School

My 3 and 4 year old sons started attending this school this year. They transitioned very well to the new environment with the help of the teachers and support staff. I feel that they are learning so much every day academically and in terms of practical life skills. Both my children are very energetic and active and the Montessori philosophy has really helped to ground, calm and teach them discipline. My husband and I are both very happy and proud of the work this school is providing.

My daughter was a student of Burnaby Montessori School for two years. She started her half day class first when she was two and half years old with Ms. Gabi and Ms. Firuza. They were both great teachers, warm, accessible, enthusiastic and caring. I’m so glad they were my daughters first teachers in her childhood. Then she went to the full day class when she was three and half years old with Ms. Jackie, Ms. Babita and Ms. Myrna. They’re also great teachers! My daughter literally learnt new things every day. She would surprise us with new vocabularies, new songs, new ideas etc.Just saw another review saying that the school is not well organized. This is so NOT TRUE. The school did a great great job on keeping everyone healthy and safe during pandemic. I can’t describe more how hard the teachers put efforts on it. My daughter was safe from getting Covid. If you would like your child to be independent, able to solve problems by themselves and focus on learning, Burnaby Montesorri School is definitely a great choice!

Both my boys ages 3 and 5 attend BMS, and I couldn't be happier. They love going to school every day and have shown tremendous progress in their independence and academic skills since they started here. The teachers are all wonderful, kind, and patient, and they truly care about their students. I would highly recommend BMS to all families!!

My boy and I are so grateful with all professional teachers, well-organized classroom and fun playground. Also, administrators are super nice when I have any questions or updates about my kid via email. I love the Montessori system and I can recognize my kid has learned so much more than I thought. Choosing BMS is my best preschool choice ever.

My daughter has been attending since 3 years old and she absolutely loved it here! She attended the morning half day first then switched to the full day program once she is 4 years old. It’s so awesome that they start at 8:30am and end at 3:30pm for the full day program so it was easy for me to arrange drop off and pickup between my daughter and my elder son who goes to elementary school. The teachers and staffs at BMS are so nice and friendly. I was late for pickup a few times but they never complained and were very understanding and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed with the school. There is no playground in the school so kids need to carry their own backpacks , lunch box and water bottle to the playground which is 4 blocks away from the school. There are at least more than 4 time that they arrive the playground , but they only played for 5 minutes due to lack of time management.As well, you never know where to pick up the kid everyday, sometimes at school sometimes at the playground. They do not have a fixed and organised schedule. It ended up many parents go to playground to check first then go to the school. It’s worst for parents who do not drive and to walk 4 blocks away back and forth.I do not recommend this school at all if you are looking for an organised preschool for your kid.

Totally recommended. Our kid loves going to his preschool every day and we have seen significant learning from day one that otherwise could not be achieved at home. They do tons of activities that our child is happy to share with us in a very enthusiastic way. We’re thankful for how well the school is organized and how they take good care of the little ones.

My daughters have been attending Burnaby Montessori Preschool since sept 2021. My daughters always look forward to preschool everyday . The teachers are so caring and loving towards the kids and they have so much to offer for their learning and development and have so much patience.The teachers have great communication with parents about their children. I always feel secure that my daughters are left in good hands. My daughters are excelling at Burnaby Montessori Preschool and I am so glad to have them attending Burnaby Montessori. I highly recommend Burnaby Montessori to anyone.

My son has been attending BMS for 1 year and his academic growth has been amazing. The teachers are very patient, truly care, and have great communication with the parents to update how our son is behaving/learning. The school provides opportunities for parent teacher conferences, observation days and to participate in the classroom (all safely) which is a lot of fun for both the parent and the child.

Both of my kids have stayed in BMS for three years. I like here and so do my kids. Teachers and staff are all very friendly and responsible, you can also feel they are truly care every dimension of kids development. BMS arranges different activities to help parents have a insight of how school working and how kids doing at school. I can also see my children learning happily and became more independent in these years. It’s a pity that they did not offer grade 2 otherwise I will keep my kids at BMS.
