Quite possibly the best customer experience I have ever experienced. Seriously!Going to Fineline was one of the best decisions we have ever made as homeowners. Our 1960's home came with a nasty, old gas fireplace tucked poorly inside a former wood-burning fireplace. We came to Fineline with an idea of the finished look we were after, but with a lot of questions about how to make it work due to the less than ideal brickwork that was already in place.Derek not only gave us good advice on what to look for in a fireplace for our home, but he was a wealth of knowledge to me as a DIY'er on how to remove the unnecessary brick inside my old chimney (without compromising the strength of my chimney) and seal it up and insulate it to stop the huge amounts of cold air that was leaking in. He even let me borrow a power tool to help remove the bricks before I had given them a penny or committed to anything!The competitive price we were quoted was exactly what our final bill was: zero surprises. This included Derek coming to our house to see what prep work I would need to do, creating a couple of pencil drawings to help us visualize the end result, and them making a custom metal bracket to be installed over some brick after the fireplace and brickwork was completed.Had I gone somewhere else there is a good chance the sources of the cold air leaks would not have been discovered or remedied. I would be going nuts after all that work if there was still cold air billowing into my house! As a bit of an air-sealing/insulation freak, I am thankful for the advice I received allowing me to do the job right.Fineline didn't try to upsell us. They gave us recommendations, and let us make our own decision. They were not pushy at all. You will get practical advice from down-to-earth people. The installers were friendly, efficient, and professional. From beginning to end, it was just a great experience. They really went above and beyond to make our experience a great one.It's been a year, and we are still very happy with our Marquis gas fireplaceHighly recommended. Absolutely 5 star service. They helped us out of a expensive upgrade with excellent advice. They clearly prioritize customer service over just selling. Their knowledge and experience is worth every penny.

The before and after are amazing. Derek and John and both installers at Fine Line Gas are great to deal with. Old school business mentality of integrity and quality work, and they sure got the job done right. Had some smells with concerns and they came back out right away to ensure it was nothing as well as a be back appointment to re-clean the gas and ensure fit/finish was met to my expectations. Ordered the fireplace with them, easy to deal with and very knowledgeable sales/install team. Have recommended them to family and friends already. Check out the before fireplace with the gold and then the new one with a frame around all black and works fantastic, cozy basement within 20-30 min. Process from inquiry to order, to after follow up has been great.

This is our second fantastic experience with Fine Line. John and the team are extremely flexible and accommodating in how they approach your project. We are very pleased with outcome of both our fireplaces and highly recommend Fine Line.

We needed some trouble shooting with regards to our gas fireplace. Derek was a gem. Very patient and helpful. We were able to solve the issue over the phone and without a service call and now have a working fireplace. John was also wonderful and provided some great and helpful information. Great people.

I cannot speak highly enough about this company. The whole crew led by Derek and John were incredible from the moment we walked into the showroom until the day they left the job.First we received a very thorough rundown of all the products and features by Derek and he carefully listened to what our hopes and dreams were for our family room fireplace. They worked with us from start to finish coordinating with us and accommodating the timeline of getting our mantle at Timeless Materials where THEY offered to pick it up for us. We even threw them a few curve balls along the way and without any hesitation, Derek was on it and showed his true professionalism when it came to helping us devise a plan for a new direction.They expected the whole project to take 2 days and it ended up taking closer to 2.5-3 to rip out the old fireplace, do all the insulating and venting, install the fireplace and then frame the whole thing. They also installed cement board, ran some extra conduit for power, smart thermostat and TV cables and the like.(I'll be doing the finishing work myself.)On the last day we were then given a through rundown by Mark on how the system worked and how to maintain it. We're now trying to figure out where else in our home we might install a fireplace because the experience we so incredibly good. These guys are the best, you won't regret hiring them!
