Avis Car Rental

I rented from Avis Feb 28 returned and paid for rental with no issues. Now over a month later I get an unauthorized charge to my credit from Avis. I call and email with no resolution. Call again today and agent wants to argue that it was additional taxes from Feb rental. What!! Wow great way to lose a good customer. Will be using Enterprise down the road.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!they can only hold charge on credit card and unfortunately for whatever reason my card was declined. I didn't had time to talk to bank and figure out due to a very important medical appointment. And they don't accept any other means of payment like debit card etc. I had to pay 30$ to uber just to get a rejection and miss the important appointment. Can't rely on AVIS or BUDGET in future.

Our first experience with this rental car company after years of being with a competitor that was closer, convenient and good to us loyal customers...until new owners came along.We rent once a month for 2 days to drive 1000 plus km on highways.We rent a Full Sized Car, Charger, Malibu or Fusion like vehicle because they have 6 cylinder motor and are more comfortable. We are driving 1000 km on big highway's. We are older with bad backs and hips and the last thing we want is small, noisy, no shock, cheap seat, 4 cylinder sewing machines when driving a long trip passing tractor trailers. You step on the gas to pass a truck in these cars and they wind out at 5 plus and go no where! Horrible highway cars.The last 3 Full Sized Car rentals were horrible experiences with our last place. New owner. We waited 2 hours for the car and ended up having to drive to a dealership with them and pick a jeep. The 2 rentals before that they didn't have our vehicle and we ended up with mid sized 4 cylinder mini SUV. One being a Kia Soul! The most horrible car I have ever driven for a long drive.We ended up at this Avis/Budget further from our home. Once again we rented a Full Sized Car.We arrived in a bit of snow. The kind and friendly gentleman (reason for 2 stars at all) said they were giving us an all wheel due to weather. I asked if it's comfortable and full sized? He said oh yes it's a Hyundai Tuscan. I have never driven one. I will not ever again.This car a 4 cylinder sewing machine and hard on the back. It was not a comfortable drive at all.Why do these companies think 4 cylinder sewing machines count as a full sized car?We will continue looking for a new rental car company.

Gave me a car with 57k km on it. In good faith I assumed will run okay. It did not. It broke in the highway with an overheated engine. I called 800 Avis Emergency number to no avail for a proper solution.

I periodically rent from this Avis location, and the service is consistent and efficient. Rehan always fulfills my requests in a timely manner while providing friendly service. Even though it is a small location, they always manage to honour my President's Club status and provide an upgraded/larger vehicle class. I will continue to rent from this location due to the friendly staff, wide hours of operation, and reliability.

I booked a rental online and was declined because I didn't provide 3 PIECES of I.D. Credit card and drivers license is not enough.Buyers beware MINUMUM $750 HOLD!!!

Reserved a rental with Budget for the Canada Day weekend. I entered the building expecting long wait times but surprisingly left within a reasonable time. Fawad was composed and calm whilst answering the unending phone calls and my queries. I'd definitely be back due to Fawad's professionalism and service!

It's extremely refreshing and helpful when people in any industry uses common sense to help you out to the best of their abilities. Recently, I had an experience where I rented a car around closing time, and I appreciated how Thomas stayed later than he was suppose too in order to assist me. When I got there I didn't have a reservations and I left my credit card at home by accident and he was gracious enough to drive me back home last minute to get my cc. I appreciate him for going above and beyond in sorting out a rental for me after closing hours. Overall, the couple of years that I've rented from the Oakville Avis Location I've always found the customer service in general resourceful and attentive to their customer's needs.

NO STARS!!! WE BOOKED A CAR FROM THIS LOCATION IN ORDER TO MOVE OUT OF A TRADE SHOW. WE GOT THE PAID INVOICE, WE GOT THE CONFIRMATION, WE GOT A REMINDER THE DAY OF THE RENTAL, WE SPOKE TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE REP CONFIRMING WHAT TIME THE OUTLET CLOSED. GOT TO THE LOCATION AND NOT ONLY WAS IT CLOSED IT WAS *PERMANENTLY* CLOSED. LEFT HIGH AND DRY AN HOUR BEFORE MOVE-OUT WITH NO VEHICLE.
