I wished I had come here for dinner. It was quite empty and not as lively when we came here around 4 pm. The food was really good, and we loved the lettuce rolls and creamy bacon Mac and cheese. I was a little disappointed by their soup dumplings because It was noted as their popular featured menu item. It tasted good. However, there was no soup at all (probably because the dumpling skin tore making the soup pour out). Their truffle shrimp pasta was mid, so I don't think I'd order them again. As for the blackened Cajun chicken, I'd definitely get that to try again. It was a little sweet when I tried, but I'm willing to give it another chance.

Lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Restaurant has a nice clean, modern urban feel. I know things are more expensive, but I found this a bit in the high side. $21 for a Cobb salad, $16 burger….The food was okay. My one daughter enjoyed her burger, though a bit greasy. Fries were good.My other daughter thought her fish and coleslaw were a little bland, and she would have liked more tartar, but that’s a personal preference.My Cobb salad was large and fresh. The dressing (balsamic blue cheese) was underwhelming and a bit bland as well.The food was all well presented, and nothing bad, just not a wow from anything.

Amazing food and service! We had Jen as our server and she made our 2 year anniversary dinner here very special!The restaurant overall is very clean and spacious. We would definitely come back here with a group of people. Love the food and atmosphere!!

First time trying State &main and the experience was good. The restaurant is busy especially on Saturdays.The Server was very friendly and nice. The wait time for food was a bit long but food is good.

Positive: Our server was super friendly.Negative: Our table was right beside the receptionist, it was pretty much a dead zone cause it was very difficult to call our server.Ordered a steak for my son in mid but it was well done and blend. Got it replaced and it was cooked perfectly, but it was bland as well.My steak was bland but it was cooked correctly.My wife's virgin pina colada was made into slushy which is fine, however they might have problem with their blender cause both times there were ice cubes in it.Food can be better but I really can't justify with the price of the bill.

Don't order from this location! Whoever is overseeing quality control as a GM is failing miserably! The items in the salad are not even correct let alone They are totally rubbery stale and rotten!!There's supposed to be beats And goat cheese and there is barely any of either... This is not the 1st time this has happened with multiple different orders whoever is putting them together and making the decision that these ingredients are fresh and ready to sell To consumers is appalling.The sandwich that came with this meal was also a complete mess with Everything all over the plate

Visited State and Main Whitby location for Mother's Day and it was a lovely experience!The service was quick, our server was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious.To top it off, as we left, I was given a beautiful carnation flower in honor of Mother's Day - what a lovely touch! Will definitely return.

We had a fantastic night at State & Main. Our server, Jennifer, was amazing and really added value to our experience. The Bang Bang Shrimp was delicious!

Bang Bang shrimp are inimitable. Many try, but these are the best. Also Brussels sprouts. Great menu, very nice staff. Great sharing options. Recommend.Back at State & Main Whitby for amazing Bang Bang Shrimp, Buffalo Chicken Wings, and shared French Dip. Great for lunch or dinner. Cool vibe, great staff. Remembered to take pics this time.

Great service. The atmosphere was nice but completely open. There is no place for romance and seclusion. You are with everyone with nothing blocking the view from one side to the other side of the restaurant.Food was good but not raving about it. I would go again but it wouldn't be a we need to go there all the time type place.
