From the moment I contacted Tasso Lake Heating Solutions I was greeted by a friendly person in Sunny. She made the initial contact a pleasant experience. The salesperson (Jim) showed up on time and was also very nice, professional and pleasant. The quote Jim provided was reasonable therefore I opted to choose them to install our new furnace. The primary installer (Tom Lowes) was terrific. He too was pleasant and professional. He took the time to answer my many questions and left the work area clean. All in all, from start to finish, a very pleasant experience.

Our home heating and domestic hot water system (combined) were installed last year. We had repeated episodes of our water running extremely hot, then ice cold, then back -- highly unpleasant -- and when a service person came, he turned taps on and off, and looked at the boiler, and then told us it was a problem with our plumbing although it clearly was not. He told us that he would check with his supervisor and someone would get back in touch. No one did, but a sizeable invoice arrived, followed by a reminder to pay, even though nothing was done and no one had called. When we disputed the charges, pointing out that if this was the best their system could do, then they should have warned us about this situation. The bill was cancelled, along with a note that in the future, we should contact a different company. So we were 'fired' for expecting what we had paid for -- a functional hot water system.We had an engineer take a look at our system, and lo and behold, he READ THE MANUAL. It clearly states on page 14 that the heating contractor should activate the 'comfort' setting for domestic hot water. He changed the setting.This was a setting that should have been implemented when the system was installed so apparently NONE of the service people read the manual. Perhaps you need to hire people who can READ and FOLLOW EASY DIRECTIONS. And think about whether it's wise to tell a customer to 'buzz off' if they expect competence.We certainly would NOT recommend TassoLake. Pricey and apparently incompetent.

Technician was a young man who was not familiar with the system and gave a misdiagnosis of the problem. No installation, maintenance or quote for any pricing was made. I feel I was overcharged for someone who was not able to find the actual problem with my heating system.

The guys got through the glitchs. we did not freeze in colder weather as we had ductless system too installed by them 2 years agolove it! Highly recommend tasso lake for all your needs! We have been customers of Tasso Lake for many years, and they handle both our home and an office building. Their installation team and service techs have done an excellent job. When our home had a problem with the boiler, Tasso went to bat for us with the manufacturer and got the issue resolved. When it was time to replace the HVAC units at the office building Tasso installed the new units on time, on price, and without any inconvenience to the tenants. The people at Tasso Lake Heating Solutions are a pleasure to deal with.

UPDATE Jan 19th, 2023 - My mother -in-law received a cheque for a full refund on the $348 bill. The updated 4 star review is for Sunny and Matt who showed true professionalism and a willingness to make things right. Thank you Matt.UPDATE Jan 13th, 2023 - Received a call from Matt at Tasso this morning, notifying us that they would issue a full refund to my mother-in-law for the service call, and apologized for the incvonvenience.Matt specified that the office would contact us Monday to finalize everything and send the cheque out. I've upgraded my rating from one star to two; at least Matt had the decency to contact us and make the offer, thank you Matt.ORIGINAL REVIEW - December 15th, 2022 - Waited almost a year for Tasso to install the parts for the recall on my mother-in-law's furnace, which they never came to do. When I asked about setting an appointment to have our furnace tune up performed, we were told that they would contact us a day or two before they would come out and wouldn't set an appointment time with us. They said they were too busy helping people who had no heat (in August) and couldn't set an appointment.The furnace manufacturer ended up sending a company from Nobleton to perform the recall (we didn't solicit them, they contacted us). Had an issue with the recall part not working properly which Tasso charged us $348 ($172.50 an hour, $40 truck charge and $10 fuel surcharge!) to 'clean a flame sensor' that had been cleaned 3 weeks earlier by the other company who performed the recall. When we contacted the other company that performed the recall, we were told that it was apparently an issue with some furnaces, and if it happened again to contact them (technician gave me his personal cell #) and he'd walk me through getting the furnace going again. It happened again, so I contacted him and he walked me through bypassing it so it didn't happen again. I did that and it's been fine ever since. But according to Tasso, it was dirty flame sensor that had been cleaned 3 weeks prior...The other company ordered the proper recall parts for her furnace and are coming back up to perform the recall again, at no charge to us. That's a two hour drive from here and they set appointments...We emailed the General Manager at Tasso to find out why they charged us to clean a sensor that had already been cleaned (emailed them 3 weeks ago) and still have not received a reply.My father and mother-in-law invested thousands of dollars with Tasso for their new HVAC system and this is the kind of service they have received.After the updates, I would recommend this company for your HVAC needs.

Several years ago I had Tasso Lake Heating install a new A/C in my home. This year I called them to service my A/C as something was not working. Due to the time of year I had to wait several weeks for service (not their fault as the temperature was not yet consistently warm). Work was completed on the A/C and I received an invoice. I had a question regarding the hours that were charged. I called Tasso and left a voicemail. The service manager called and the first words to me were “I hear you don’t want to pay your bill”. This was never the case as all I needed was some clarification on the hours charged to me.I’ve never been a dead beat not paying my bills, when I had the A/C installed I had a cheque ready for payment immediately.The one star rating is for customer service and not work completed. (Sunny was very nice to deal with though, 5 stars for you).
