Quadrant

I have used Quadrant to prepare my tax submission and my wife's tax submission for many years. I also used them to prepare my business tax submission for many of those same years. Susan has always been easy to deal with and always available if I have any questions or need a bit of advice. Submissions have always been on time and accurate.

Have been using Quadrant for my personal tax preparations since the company started, (in Calgary), and have been w/ Derek for probably 25 yrs now. Always very quick and very thorough at getting it done and filed for me. Also used them for my business accounting, when my Consulting business was active. Would recommend them to anyone looking to have their accounting done.

2 years in a row they made huge errors in our tax returns that would have cost us an estimated $3,000 additional tax each year. They seemed to have lost all quality control...we'd send them all of our well-organized information, and they would simply slam it into the system and file it without cross-checking things like $US-to-$CAD currency conversion where it was needed on stock sale transactions. They also didn't follow CRA's rules on stock transactions, which require the actual exchange rate on the date of the stock sale. Instead, they simply took CRA's annual average exchange rate and applied that to all transactions. After paying them approximately $1000 each year for doing our tax returns, we dropped them and now use TurboTax to complete our own tax returns for about $200. They aren't paying attention to their customers – we just got an email thanking us for using their services in 2023. Ummm...we did our tax returns for the past 2 years in TurboTax! Hello!!

Quadrant is absolutely a five-star company. I have dealt with Quadrant for many years with my husband, but now I am dealing with them for a new company.
