Hôtel La Côte Surprise
At $300+ a night, this was the most overpriced hotel I’ve stayed at in my life. Yes the view is splendid. However, the rooms are dated. A week before our stay, I received an email from the hotel that instead of two queen beds we would have a queen bed and a rollaway bed and that we would actually have to pay extra $10 for that. Bah... Worst part: walls are paper-thin, you can hear your neighbors showering, coughing, and watching TV. Avoid.

We visited the hotel and enjoyed meeting the owner. He was very professional and nice.Reception staff change room availabilities per their whim and fancy. The room we saw through the owner yesterday is suddenly closed today and the reception says the owner doesn’t care and doesn’t know. It’s too much workVery hardworking owner who’s efforts are sadly drained down by the attitude of the reception staff. The staff is reluctant to work and show any rooms.

Great place for the view and 1.8km from downtown. Be aware though, no A/C in the room, so hard to have a good sleep even if the windows are open. Breackfast was ok. My coffee machine was not cleaned up. Beside that nothing else to say

It was an awesome view from our room, the Staff was friendly , they understood English pretty good and great Location.Breakfast is the most important meal with a Buffet style with someone to greet you and awesome Service with another Stunning view of the Rock.Rooms just a little outdated. Parking was Great.

Got a beautiful view, however, the bed was making noise every time we moved. Also, didn't like the fact that you could see the front door when sleeping. Nice selection of breakfast.

Amazing view and good spot near everything. However, their rooms need some ventilation smells humidity. need some remodeling. As for the breakfast that is included, it does the job, eggs, bacon, toast, cereals, potatoes you can choose a seat outside to enjoy the great view.

Good customer service and nice buffet breakfast despite Covid-19 which was very much appreciated compared to other hotels.However the walls are really paper thin. You can hear absolutely everything your neighbours are doing. It was okay with q-tips but even then I could still hear some noise at times.I also found a few hairs in the bathroom and chair.

I experienced a very bad customer service at the hotel. I arrived at night but the front desk was closed. I had to call the hotel after two attempts and then someone finally picked up. I was sitting in my car while I was waiting and then the lady (owners wife) called me asking me where I am very rudely. She didn’t even open the door for me. Very rude attitudes from her during the conversation. No one said hi. Very unprofessional.Also, don’t trust the pay at property policy. They still charge you before you arrive without your authorization. Red flag.No wifi from my room.
