Animal Hospital Gravenhurst

I called the Animal Hospital on May 27, 2020 concerned about my fur baby. As you know this is during Covid. Now we weren’t current patients of this hospital as we had been self isolating since March break up at our cottage. As we both work at a high school and are now working from home.I had already called some other vet clinics but they were not taking new patients due to covid.The lady that answered the phone was incredible.She told me they had no appointments available today.But they did have a video telehealth through Baywood Animal Hospitals that they offered. It was a $50.00 charge and I would be talking to a vet.She explained that if the doctor still wanted my dog to be seen in the office then that $50.00 would be credited back on our visit.She sent me an email. I created an account, typed out my concerns. Added photos of her wound. chose an available time which was only 15 minutes away.Dr. Greg McWatt was compassionate, knowledgeable, caring and down to earth.He diagnosed what was wrong and called in her prescription. He didn’t try to up sell any additional tests.By the time we drove into town to pickup the prescription and cone of shame it was ready. I call the animal hospital when we got there. They took payment over the phone. Placed our package outside. We talked to vet tech while maintaining the six feet for social distancing. She explained the dosages. answered our questions. And was super friendly.I could not recommend this clinic highly enough.

Very thankful for this place . Professional all the way and very accommodating. Good people. Knows their stuff.

Very friendly, great with my springer doodle and 2 cats. Everyone has been great with checkups and getting in promptly.

This is a great vet if you don't care about your animals. My cat stopped eating enough and puking up what she did she was losing weight fast so I took her here they said to change the food I did that she still wasn't eating or gaining weight we changed food again as to the vet's advice but there was no improvement we tried calling to see if there was anything else we could do. They never suggested we bring her in or take her for an x-ray. I should've done something sooner but I trusted the vet until it was too late. I eventually took her to a emergency vet she had had a hair tie tangled in her intestines. She likely wouldn't survive surgery and I had to put her down. She was only 3 years old

The entire staff is so caring and compassionate with pets and owners!

This is the best veterinarian office I have ever dealt with. They really, truly and honestly care about the animals they are working with. They are compassionate, honest, and very hard working. I cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond for my animals, especially in a crisis. And as an added bonus, all the staff are really pleasant to deal with.

They treat animals like you would like to be treated at the doctors. They are an amazing group of people!!!

Yesterday our poor pup had an encounter with a porcupine at our cottage. Unfamiliar with vets in the area I called the first one that was opened -Animal Hospital Gravenhurst. I am so happy that it was the clinic that could treat our one year old husky mix. He was a sad dog with quills on his nose and mouth area as well as his paw. The clinic squeezed" us in and took care of him.Today he's running around like nothing happened. The clinic called today to see how he was doing; what great service. The care

I had to say goodbye very suddenly to my best friend zoey last week. They were 10/10 with handling the situation and the way they handled zoey. You want your vet to be good with animals but what I didn’t expect was for the staff (all of them) to be so good with me.I was literally hyperventilating and the staff got me in and out and handled it.I have 3 other pets and I have been struggling to find a good vet in town that I can trust. And I’m so so so grateful to have found this one. Don’t waste your time calling elsewhere.

We just had our 12 yr lab Dakota checked out! They have great service. Prices are reasonable and best of all Dakota was happy and relaxed with all of them. And they were so good with her, showing her all the love she expects from everyone she meets lol
