No issue with the chimney cleaning at all but they replaced a fireback and a stone hearth for us a few weeks later and the workmanship was disappointing. Job was left rough and with a poor level of finish. Also, the replacement hearth they sourced for us was too small and it left a gap of an inch to the wooden floor around it. They knew it was too small as well but went ahead with the replacement anyway. Inexcusable.

After years of getting my chimney cleaned by different chimney cleaners, this year I used Gill Chimney Services for the first time after watching their promotional video. What can I say, they were so professional and great at what they do! Arrived on the agreed day, Covid compliant - both wearing masks, covered my floor with plastic sheeting, no mess at all, you wouldn’t even know they had been here. I recommended my family to also use him and they were very happy with the service. People might say they are chimney cleaners, but not like this company. I want to commend you on an excellent service! I will be using your service again. 5 stars!

I had Darren out a 2 months ago. Told me there was a hole in my flue liner (there wasn't), told me he would steel mesh and plaster the chimney (didn't use any mesh), he fit a new black granite heart but it was unlevel and took chips out of the tiles. Came back to fix it but the new tiles were unlevel and didn't grout it properly. Was promised a partial refund but still haven't received it. I went for the more expensive quote thinking the work would be a high standard, but now I'm left going the legal route for a refund.

Wow what a fantastic service. Darren is so professional. Chimneys were cleaned and inspected plus we were received a video of the inside of the chimney. Very reassuring to know our house is safe. Thank you Darren
