Good Bye Mould

We had the pleasure of having Rick resolve our mold issue in the basement very quickly. First impressions, he was very empathetic towards the issues we were facing and promptly responded to come out and assess the problem. Very knowledgeable and quickly indentified the root cause and performed the remedial work the following business day.We are pleased with the service we received and we are no longer experiencing the strong musty smells. We just bought our first house in KW. In the crawlspace, there was a moldy odour, which was wafting into the basement area. The odour was so strong that it was burning my airway. After doing extensive research online about mold in crawlspaces, I looked for a company that specialized in this field. I found Rick's company and he came to do an assessment and give me a quote. The attic also had a bit of mold growth around the duct that exhausts the kitchen (the exhaust duct was detached from the roof vent). I had many questions and all were answered in a professional manner.In the crawlspace, there was an access panel in the floor, with a pipe running to the sewer. Inside, the construction workers left some wood from when the house was being built. The wood was rotting for decades.The quote was a fair price and Rick was honest, and to the point with the work involved. Rick arrived at the scheduled time, removed the rotting wood, cleaned away the mold and treated the area. The access panel was sealed. I was very worried that our bathroom had mold due to some paint cracks on the ceiling so I called this company for an assessment. Rick was able to come in the same day and do a thorough inspection. He reassured me that there was no mold in the bathroom and no need to do any type of expensive work. He didn't charge me for the visit either! Licensed Home Inspector Rick Clayton was friendly and professional when he responded to our inquiry about some black mould that has plagued a closet for years. He offered advice on how to deal with it, absolutely free, and wouldn't take anything for the time spent assessing the closet and checking the attic for leaks. That's service!
