Management at this location is terrible. I booked a rental with an AB license and was denied because they make up their own rules regarding GDL vs Non GDL licenses. Called Avis on the phone and they didn't have an issue with GDL vs non GDL. The lady working there argued for an hour. Went to a different location and they let me rent with no problems.Avoid this place at all costs. Was not re-compensated for the wasted time and horrible customer service.

Did not have a car for us upon arriving (had made a reservation the previous month). Had to wait two hours for owner to locate a car and arrange the arrival. No reimbursement for our time wasted. Would not rent from here again.

We picked up our Avis rental vehicle from their office at 451 West 8th Avenue. Pal was the gentleman who attended to us. We were both impressed with the level of professional service he provided. He took the time to show us the car as well as go through and explain its many features. Nothing was too much trouble. Pal is a credit to the Avis organisation. The vehicle provided was in immaculate condition and worked faultlessly throughout the rental period.

We booked a 3 day rental through Costco and was initially worried given the online reviews. Fortunately we had a great experience so I felt compelled to write a review. Service was great and the pick up was quick and efficient. They even gave us an upgraded car and our drop off was also smooth (at YVR airport Avis). Would most definitely book again!

Hi my name is John from Australia. Back on April 6th, I rented a dodge durango. There was a bit of confusion in regards to the booking. When I arrived Pal was instrumental in solving the problem. His work that morning to help me was fantastic. It just so happened that a year earlier I also rented a car from the same Avis dealership and Pal was there at that time to help me. Pal at this Avis location was incredibly helpful! We've rented a car through him a couple times and each time, he answered all while displaying a positive attitude to be helpful as much as possible. When we rented a car through a different Avis location and ran into some issues, he checked the invoice and explained the charges for us. Pal made us feel so comfortable with his friendly behaviour that we now come to this Avis location first when we need to rent a car in Vancouver and we'll definitely recommend all our friends and family to do the same when they're in the city!

Really good service. Want to give a shout out to Pal who helped get the navigation system going- he not only figured out what the problem was, he also went out of his way and found a solution for it! We are now able to enjoy the Okanagan valley
