Sault Ste. Marie Country Club

Love playing at this friendly and well maintained golf course! Great food too! Didn't use pool, but pool area looked clean and relaxing. Highly recommend checking it out if you are in this beautiful area.

I've lived in the Sault all my life and the course and clubhouse were the best they've ever been from a service and condition standpoint. The course was in great shape all year and the new owners did some maintenance on the course that was much needed and have plans to improve it going forward. The clubhouse bar was renovated and looks great now and the food this year was as good as when the club had Frank in the kitchen. Hope they think about doing breakfast next year.And for those who think the course is overpriced and drive out to Pickford don't realize that after your vehicle costs and gas you pay more to golf there. $15 to walk 9 holes is a very good deal and as far as I'm concerned under priced for the quality of the course.

I visited the club this past summer and had a fantastic time. The golf course was fun to play and in great shape. The greens are fabulous. Dinner was excellent and the staff professional and very congenial. Looking forward to visiting the club again in 2018!

I play alot of clubs and resorts. I was very Disappointed with how the coarse is maintained. Over priced for sure. Very long rough grass, very spotty fairways and terribly wet greens. Plus the carts you pay for can only stay on the cart path also. Carts are junk the one I used had no reverse and sounded like it was falling apart. The driving range u can only use irons on no drivers its only like 200yrds long that makes zero since. No beverage cart, terrible cart paths very bumpy, and no complimentary cold water along the cart paths very poor landscaping. I definitely won't be back to waste any more of my time or money.

Course is in great shape. Food is good. The club house has been very tastefully redecorated and is very clean. The club pro is very hands on and available. Rates have remained close to those of the past few years.

Let me just say that this place has everything. The course is fair with great green complexes. The greens run very smooth and true. The practice facilities are great because it has a wedge range along with a normal practice range. The practice green is shaped great to prep you for the putts you’ll see on the course. The carts are comfortable and electric (quiet). The clubhouse has a nice modern feel and the food there offers spectacular meals not just your typical pub food. Sault Ste. Marie Country Club offers a great humble product!

Best course in the Soo! Played on a Sunday morning (2-some); started out okay, but when we made the turn, and a very slow 3-some had jumped in front of us. Since the weather was delightful, and we were on a mini-vacation, we just hung back and enjoyed ourselves (it does mess with your rhythm and momentum). The fairways were in great shape; greens were excellent. It would have been nice to have ball/club washers on the cart; or at least a ball washer every once in awhile on the course?

Lunched at the GRILLROOM eatery inside theSault Ste. Marie Country Club.The server was very friendly and helpful.Ordered a Chicken wing appetizer and Blacken Whitefish.. The wing were slightly undercooked. I often find that eateries tend to undercook wings, so no big deal there.Now the Whitefish on the other hand, I will not excuse.. A slightly pan seared filet topped with paprika for colos is not Blacken WhitefishFive stars for our waitressTwo stars for the food..

I used to golf there a few times a year. The parking lot is paved I'm sure the restaurant/bar is accessible, but I think the club house has 1½ steps to get into it and if you where to stick to the paths there wouldn't be a problem for those in wheel chairs, but leaving the path to go to the tee or your ball may be a bit harder to do since it is great after all and grass with Marie tires wouldn't mix. Then you have the standing to hit the ball, don't get me wrong I've seen people playing basketball in wheel chairs doesn't mean you can't either, but getting over those hurtles would be the biggest I can see.

This was my first season as being a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Country Club. It was very enjoyable, as the membership came with many rounds of golf, and it included access to the pool. The pool was very nice and clean with many lounge chairs and tables to sit at, staff would come around to see if you wanted anything to eat or drink, the french fries were delicious and were only a few dollars. The golf course also was very enjoyable.
