I own a small house in Paisley that needed a new gas stove which is the primary heat source for the house. I contacted South Port and, after leaving many messages and having to call back a few times, I finally got a quote for a Valor Portrait propane stove that Ken said would suit my needs. I must admit I don't know a lot about gas stoves so it sounded good. It then took almost 6 weeks to actually set a date to have the stove installed by which time my new tenant had moved into the house. When I got my final invoice, a different model of stove (Valor Madrona vs Portrait) was installed instead but I was assured it was a better stove and I would be given the same price. Since the stove had already been installed, I left it at that and didn't think much more about it until the weather got colder. This winter my heating costs have doubled which seemed odd since it was a newer, I thought more efficient stove. I have since learned from Valor that as it is a radiant heat stove, it is not intended to be a primary heat source and, according to my tenants and my heating bills, it is not in fact doing a great job of heating the entire house efficiently. I am extremely disappointed with the whole process and would like to know what sort of warranty or return policy applies to purchases such as this one. My goal in contacting South Port was to support a local business and to provide my house with reliable and efficient heat and instead I am left feeling ripped off both for the cost of the stove itself and the fact that my heating costs have doubled this winter over last. I look forward to hearing from someone at South Port soon about what can be done to fix this as I cannot currently recommend them to anyone for good customer service or knowledge of the products they sell. I am giving two stars because the staff I spoke to were always friendly and polite although no one could ever answer my question right away and every time I was told someone would call me the next day it didn't happen and I would have to call again.

Had a 5 ton water furnace geothermal unit installed two years ago and have on numerous attempts tried to have issues addressed to no avail. Continually promised they are working on it and “will get back to you by days end” yet weeks go by, and numerous messages left but no return call. Revolving door of hvac technicians and office staff, but magically there are no notes on file with regards to the issues.

Ken visited our home September 21,21 and I gave him a tour of the basement. I told him what new gas appliances we wanted hooked up. He made notes and said he’d get back with a quote. They never did. I called in early December and Sales Assistant located our quote file and said she’d have Ken contact us. He never did.

I have ordered a fireplace through this business in October 2021 and placed a 25% deposit. It is now April and have not received this service nor any date as to when it will be installed. I have left numerous messages for the last 6 weeks and no one has had the decency to call back. I do not recommend this business. I will update this review when I get my product installed.

Called to get a quote, very friendly phone lady. Call wasn't returned. So I stopped in to talk and they apologized, said they had some problems would get back. Still never called bask, I mean they can say no instead of wasting both our time...

For me there is no one better than Ken, Cathy and the rest of their staff. Service is phenomenal and always faster than expected.
