La Cité Golf Course

I hidden gem...I have lived about 50 mins from this track for a few years and I play on average over 175 rounds of golf a year and for some reason I have never been enticed to play here... not sure why... I'll be back!This is simply a fun place to play 18 holes of golf with good course conditions. Big thumbs up for the tee boxes and greens, both in excellent condition. Sand traps are a complete different story... it had rained (4 days earlier) and it showed with extremely damp sand and many water run off tracks (deep ones). Some of the bunkers simply were not playable. They should have been maintained by the time we played compared to the last rain but not sure of the regular playing conditions of the sand here; this may or may not be the norm.This is an extremely picturesque course with many photo opportunities if you want to take the time (you will need it on the front 9 as there are plenty of pretty holes). I should have taken more for this post.While some of the holes might seem short they can be a little tight so driver might not be the best club off the tee... be aware. Greens were fast but fair.I always say if you are going to golf you should be having fun or else why are you golfing... I had a lot of fun... as did my playing partner for the morning.

Short, fairly easy course but excellent for the price. Greens in great condition this year.

Really fun course! Not like some that have each hole lined up in rows. So much beautiful water. As a new comer it would have been nice to have a map but we will know exactly where to go next time!

I have been to many courses, I have worked at one of Montreal's prestigious courses, and yet La Cite is my favorite. It is always in great shape, motivated caring employees, and fantastic owners. All of this plus the best price from Ottawa to Montreal.

A beautiful course well maintained. Challenging short holes that can be played from the blues if desired. Inexpensive fees but reservations are a must. Definitely returning to enjoy more

Great course! A little bit of a tour from Ottawa but it’s very nice to play! Price is great as well! I look forward to the next round!

First time playing here on the weekend - was a really nice course. Prices were very reasonable and the course was generally in good condition, though it was unfortunate that they had recently aerated the greens and they were heavily sanded.My only point of constructive feedback would be to have a beverage cart and/or better stocked snacks in the clubhouse after 9; a missed opportunity for the course and an annoyance for the golfer.
