Great staff have really good slection and waay better quality of wood then Kent and HD. The only complaint I have is your contractor desk worker can be hard to work with on the phone sometimes and has caught him havyan attitude with myself and some of my employees.

The staff are very young and not as knowledgeable as some of the other home stores. They are friendly though and try to help the best they can. I like that Home Hardware stores still offer screws and nails by the pound. Seems to be the best deal around for hardware. They also seem to stock some items that the big guys don't. So I always check there if I'm looking for hardware or joist hangers that I can't find elsewhere.

Because of the small store and relatively higher staff, service tends to be pretty good… I was looking for a number 12X3/8 metal screw… They didn’t have it. To be fair, neither did the local Canadian tire nor Kent building supplies….

Staff are helpful and friendly. Good quality lumber and other supplies. Selection might not be as big as the big box stores, but they do have decent selection and are a bit more helpful.
