Great staff, from the vets, the technicians to the frontline reception assistants. Always try their best to keep things moving smoothly while answering all of my questions.

Dr. Carter used to take care of my dog Koda since he was a puppy in the practice she worked in prior to opening her own clinic. I must say we were truly sad when she left, and due to privacy reasons the prior clinic couldn't disclose any information. I've raved about Dr. Carter's care to my dog Koda ever since- and I have simply never been able to find a vet who held up to the care, and attentiveness she provided to me and my dog. (He just turned 9 years old today). I was BEYOND THRILLED to come across Dr. Carter's Clinic when looking for a new vet to get my dog in for an ear infection and continuing care. I left a message on their phone at 5:30AM this morning and their wonderful staff returned my call by 10:15AM this morning and were able to schedule Koda in with Dr. Carter this up coming Thursday. I am truly looking forward to having my vet back! :) I can tell you she's been the only vet who's ever given my dog a ton of affection and snuggles. I watched her get to Koda's level on the floor when he grew too big to get on the table. And when he was smaller she would scoop him and his brother up together and show them much kindness and care. She's smart, knowledgeable and truly cares about the animals she takes care.

We are new to the area and found it difficult to find a veterinary clinic accepting new clients.We were able to get into Carter Veterinary Hospital and almost immediately had an unexpected medical issue with one of our pets.The quality of service by all the staff was excellent, we and out pet(s) were made to feel both welcomed and valued.A detailed overview was provided that clearly showed us our choices as to possible solutions. All costs and options were clearly explained.Overall we were very impressed with our experiance and would not hesitate to recommend.The only knock which is not reflected by the rating is the lack of parking. This unfortunetly is not an easily resolved issue due to the footprint of the location.

Absolutely wonderful people here. I have rats and my previous vet of 20 years had just retired, so for me, it was hard to transition.I came here with the direction of my previous vet and of course, he was right! From when you walk in all the staff was friendly and kind. The vet tech was so lovely and Dr. Carter herself was so professional yet compassionate. She took the time to explain everything to me as I'm the kind of person who likes to understand each choice.They are quite familiar with rats and many have had rats in the past. As a rat parent, it's always more reassuring when the people we trust with our rats well being, have had that personal experience as well as professional. This was only my first visit, but I left with all the stress on my shoulders lifted and a sense of relief because not only are my rats in good hands, but the price is also so reasonable!

I can not say enough positive things about this clinic. Dr. Carter and Dr. Alana are especially amazing. The vets are very thorough and will often catch things other clinics miss! You can truly see all the staff are kind, compassionate, and caring about every appointment. They are very reasonable in price and do not try to push uneeded treatments. I would highly recommend this clinic, all the staff and vets here!

Today was our puppies first vet visit and the first time we have ever dealt with Carter vet hospital. From beginning to end was amazing service and i would highly recommend them to anyone!! What i loved about the office (besides the wonderful staff) is that the Doctor gives you all your different options and dont hid any hidden fee's. They also explain in detail what your animal may need during their life. Happy we found a new vet hospital for our new puppy!!

Carter's was very accommodating and understanding when we had to put our dog down. They have reasonable prices compared to our other vets we have dealt with. I even recommended them to my buddy who started using them for his three dogs.

Dr. Linda Carter is a fantastic Vet. Her method of creating the least stress possible is outstanding, and her knowledge and compassion for small animals were outstanding.It's rare to find someone willing to forgo money for the client's benefit, and I can't begin to express my appreciation. My little boy Rebel was neutered here, and within 2-3 hours, he was eating on his own.Thank you for turning a scary experience into a great one for my rabbit. Our family greatly appreciates it.

Dr. Carter was absolutely amazing and so incredibly helpful. She was completely booked yet she managed to make time for my girlfriend and I to bring in our sick pet Rat, gave her a full exam and prescribed medication for her on the same day we spoke. Even during the exam she was so friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of advice as first time Rat owners. I’ve never dealt with a veterinarian who was more caring and kind, and she’s just earned 2 life long clients!

I’m new to pet ownership and I contacted carters and was able to set an appointment right away over the phone for my new dog after hearing great things. Three days before my appointment I wasn’t able to make the time they gave me and gave them a call. No answer. I left 3 voicemails one everyday in regards to wanting to reschedule my appointment but no response no email nothing. So we never ended up making it to our appointment and it’s been two weeks and they have not even asked or called us to see why we missed our appointment. Ended up going to another vet in Bowmanville who always answers the phone and even got us into an appointment on the same day due to an emergency. So carters really doesn’t care about new clients or their owners I guess just the clients they already have. Would not recommend if you have a new pet as if you needed an answer or emergency appointment you’ll never get an answer back from them.
