Very nice atmosphere, good for romantic events or family and friends. Price point a touch high IMHO.The food was OK to good. To be fair we only ordered 3 entres. Standard fries = good, sweet potatoe fries =very good. I had the local burger, = would not recommend for big eaters.While the brioche bun was very good, the patty was very small in volume and not very juicy at all. for volume versus$. I usually have no special extra toppings so I could taste the actual meat.I would expect a massive burger for 22, dissapointed.The beef tacos were good, soft shelled nice and a better deal then the burger. Was surprised there was no beer on tap!!?? Cans only.Not overwhelmed would repeat a visit but would try somewhere else next.

Very impressed. For a small town this was a very nice place. Small, maybe 10 tables, we made reservations when we arrived in town, about 2:30. Glad we did. 4 drinks, split a half salad, 2 burgers with fries, desert and tip, less than $90 US. Very good service, food came out at a nice pace, we didn't feel rushed. Very good food, again, my wife and I were very impressed. Highly recommend this establishment!

The Flint House is easily the best local restaurant in Fort Frances. The atmosphere is great, the waitresses are very friendly and thorough and the food is excellent!I love the overall look of the place. The tin roof is stunning, the brick walls and black metal details are really slick and the wall outlets even have USB charging ports in them! The attention to detail is very much appreciated.The washrooms are nice and spacious and have some nice details in them as well. They definitely add to the overall experience.

Had another spectacular meal at the Flint. Staff was attentive. When told I have a shellfish allergy, server immediately offered a different side as their usuals would not be suitable for me. Greatly appreciated. Hope The Flint House and their guests enjoy indoor dining starting once again today.

Consistently excellent meals. Diverse menu with something for everyone. Amazing atmosphere. Wonderful staff. Definitely a ‘must do’ when in Fort Frances! (My favorites include the Cantilever Chicken and the Prime Rib)*also a local business that is very community minded and supports local events.

Used to be good 2 years ago. Now serving size was tiny, yet way overpriced. Order wasn't even done right and sweet potato fries weren't cooked all the way through. Not impressed, too many tables for the size of kitchen as well, the wait for food was too long for the low quality. Waitress and service was good though. Probably won't return.

Haven't been here in 2 years and still the best prime rib. The quality and preparation was on point. Meal was out within 15 minutes of ordering. Highly recommended.

This place is a gem. I pride myself on not taking food pics, but the moment I had a bite I knew I would be leaving a review. I had the arancini as an appetizer and as ridiculous as it sounds the Cajun mushroom penne sans mushrooms. I also had the pristine crème brûlée. The whole experience was what this weary traveler needed. I’m now looking forward to subsequent visits so I can dine again. Special shout out to my server Jolene (if the bill is correctly identifying you).

Flint house is such a special and unique restaurant in the heart of Fort Frances Ontario. About a two minute drive from the Minnesota border located on a main street in town. Surrounded by local businesses and across from the Rainy like square, where markets and concerts are held.When you walk into Flint house, the history shines throughout every detail in the design. This family owned restaurant pays attention to detail of food, scotch and cocktails. They also have a selection of craft beer from the sleeping giant brewing Company, and Lake of the Woods brewing Company.Lots of great dishes and desserts, definitely not a place to mess when you are staying or driving through Fort Frances!

Good atmosphere, Tuna steak special was well prepared with good flavor. The Cantilever Chicken was very good paired with the Sleeping Giant White Out hazy IPA.
