Marriott Conference Center

I came to Ottawa for the weekend. I’m currently at the Marriott but I’m going to be checking into the Westin in an hour or so. Originally my reservation was for one night, Saturday. I had called today (Sunday) To ask if I could book another night, I decided to stay an extra night in Ottawa. The individual at the front desk who answered the phone when I called from my room was a South Asian man, he was quite rude to me on the phone.He told me that I would have to go on the Internet to book a reservation or talk to a call centre because the hotel was full because of a conference or something of that nature. So I went and I booked a hotel room at the Westin, figuring that I would have to leave here since I could not book a room at the hotel. The call centre that he transferred me to told me that I should be able to book a room at the front desk here so I called again and I spoke to a different person, a female. She was extremely professional and she booked the room for me right there on the phone for another night so I could remain in my room. I went downstairs and I paid with my visa. It’s now 2 PM, I was laying in my bed getting ready to go to the Westin since I’m leaving anyway I had a really bad experience here, And then I have the do not disturb sign on the door. The cleaner used her access card to try to enter the room luckily I had the deadbolt on the door and I was laying in bed in a state of undress. I told her to get out. She left and then I went to check and my door did have a do not disturb sign. This is very bizarre I have actually never experienced this before I’m going to be heading to the Westin in a couple hours. Basically I had to book 2 hotels today. Really ridiculous.I am a South Asian woman who is visually impaired and this was completed using voice to text

Overall a good experience the rooms were clean check-in was extremely efficient using the app and mobile door key… Never had to even go to the front desk. Staff were friendly and kind especially the bell/valet staff. Requested daily housekeeping but it was never done. The rooms and lobby are extremely dated. Beds were super comfortable as always. Front desk/lobby staff wore extremely powerful fragrance which triggered bad asthma attacks every time I walked through, one assumes a fragrance free workplace is the standard these days. Also stayed two nights at the Delta across the street 100% better.

I enjoyed my stay there and the facility was clean.

Really disappointed of the hotel. We booked it thinking it was a 4 start hotel. Far from reality. Holiday Inn hotel with 2 stars have better rooms, cleaner, with breakfast and nicer staff. The room is small, very small. There were hairs in the bathroom. Reception staff was rude. They seemed to be in a rush. Bad experience so far. Won't stay here again.

The hotel was nice; however the appliances in room were quite noisy throughout the night (buzzing and rumbling noises). The location is great; only a few steps from an LRT station and a quick walk to food, drink, and scenic walks.

Booked here as they were in a good location and is pet friendly. The rooms while a bit dated where large and comfortable. The views is nice. And most importantly they’re pet friendly. Would recommend going back to this hotel. I just wish parking was included or was cheaper.

Great hotel! The front desk staff were all sooo nice, professional, accommodating and would call me by name every time they saw me! I was on the 25th floor with a breath taking view of parliament! I really liked that I could open the window and get fresh air every morning! There are tons of pubs, coffee shops and outdoor patios within walking distance! Even a Starbucks in the lobby of the hotel! Every morning I would step out of the elevator and be welcomed by a super nice general manager! The pool was warm big and super deep at the one end! I liked that it didn’t have a strong chlorine smell!Will definitely book here again! If you have caa the rate is like $30 cheaper!

I go every year for the Army run and they are a pleasure. Super easy to book with. Very accommodating and great rooms. I wish the pool and gym were 24/7. This year we also had an issue with our discount. They work with the Army Run and normally have a discount. This year because of chances the discount was ready. When we checked in they said there was nothing they can do. Oh well. Everything else was great
