Victim Services of Windsor & Essex County

Recently was referred here and they could not provide me anything to help, besides a counselor I technically found on my own. The board member Randy blames it on lack of funds (which he didn’t even want to tell me where the funds come from) and that they don’t have enough staff... I think it’s because of poor management. The staff members are rude and they don’t care. They claim they work after hours and that they have too much to do...Many times I was told they would help me and they wouldn’t forget about me, which was a lie. Other agencies and individuals have stated that what happened to me should have never happened. The executive director Tracy just makes up excuses and says they don’t have enough resources to provide to people. Then why try to help people when you can’t? Then they make up even a bigger lie that they don’t help people in my situation but tried to help me because “they felt bad”. The board member couldn’t even give examples of how they have helped people in the community. They did what they could is what they said. They didn’t do much. Very disappointed. Hopefully others don’t have to go through what I went through. A victim of a crime does not need to be treated like this, and basically re-victimized. People are already going through enough and don't need to deal with people who promise things they can't deliver. Randy said they try not to leave people in the dark, but that's clearly what happened to me. They don't care about that either!

I am in desprate need of some emergency help. I have called numerous times with no answer. Left several messages and no one has called me back. Which is a shame. There web site said they are open ,24/7

Making me homeless after something happened to me. They dont help and dont care lives are being ruined.

The men and women that work here are absolutely amazing human beings. They truly are. So kind, compassionate, understanding, and also empowering to the victims of crime in Windsor and Essex County. Thank you!

After 5 attempts they still haven't got back to me a joke.
