Would be a nice spawning location for the returning salmon.

Surprised to find few salmon still swimming in creek last week after atmospheric river" rainfall! Kudos to hatchery work efforts in securing and preserving fish each year. Hoping next season will be easier for migratory fish."

If you have to go to Coquitlam Center for anything, do yourself a favour and pop over to Hoy Creek for a walk along the burbling water. Super accessible but quiet and beautiful, with some interesting info at the hatchery.

Small but very beautiful place to pass through. Good for dog walking in hot weather due to being very shady due to trees.

Awsome trail to go on a small walk and watch the salmon grow but be careful when it's winter the floor gets very slippery

A very small hatchery but worth the visit! It’s situated between/behind some dense apartment complexes so parking is limited. Non-stop salmon runs; do be extra careful of black bears! Stay on the bridges.

Very natural setting in an elbow of Hoy Creek with the hatchery building and the covered holding pond adjacent to the creek. A sign posted by the wooden bridge indicates that the chum have just been released in the last week.

Place to breathe fresh air and enjoy the nature. The trail is easy peasy and there are bridges and handrails to support riders. I have seen many families and little dogs there.

It’s a nice little walk, feels like you aren’t even in the city. Watch your feet for fat slugs!

This is a great place to see chum salmon return. A short walk from parking area will lead you to viewing area where one can get very close to the water. It is amazing to see the salmon swimming upstream and jumping over obstacles. Best of all, it is just a 0.5 kilometer from a skytrain station.
