My experiences have been fantastic there. Whether personal or commercial they know their stuff and get you fixed up with only what you actually need quickly and expertly. I cannot say enough good things about Jon and Steve in particular as they're the ones I deal with mainly. I would definitely recommend this garage!

I have so many great things to say about Gords Auto Repair.I moved to Vancouver about 2 years ago from the island. I had a few bad auto service experiences here on the mainland with gouge pricing. Im a 23 year old who probably looks 16/17 and was taken advantage of by some shotty characters mistaking my age and kindness for a weakness.Steve and John are two honest, accountable and standup gentleman who will get the job done right with a smile.Ive had BMW’s to domestic GM trucks in there, always priced honestly and fairly, and professional work done timely.Look no further than Gords Automotive for ALL of your auto needs.Honest, Reliable, Kind, and Professional.What more could you ask for?Kudos to the entire team at Gords.Dont waste your time or money with another shop.

Gord's was able to take my car in, diagnose it, fix it, and return it to me much faster than I had anticipated. They described the diagnostic and repair options so that I was prepared when the quote arrived, which was less than I had anticipated. These guys are awesome! They're straight up and honest. Diagnostic was very quick and they got the work done same day and were able to work within my time limitations. Rather than ordering a new part to fix my noisy exhaust, they were able to perform a spot weld that negated the problem instead. Took careof that pesky check engine light too. Fair price for excellent work and service. Peace of mind for auto safety is well worth it. Many thanks to John!

If you are looking for trustworthy mechanics with reasonable hourly rate and in a great location close to downtown this is it. I only bring my car here, they do work pretty fast and keep you updated on their progress. Would definitely recommendUpdate almost 2 years later, changed rating from 5 to 3 stars. As much as i like the guys working at this shop, I've since had two bad experiences. About two years ago i had the front window replaced and over last weekend a window gasket came out on the highway. I found out it wasn't the correct gasket for the car and they just used a lot of sealant/glue to keep it in place, it now left marks all over the roof that I'm not sure how difficult it would be to clean off. And the second one that i wrote off as a simple mistake at the time. I had valve cover gaskets replaced , but they haven't replaced the grommets. Grommets started to leak within their warranty period but they didn't honor it as they said work only included gaskets replacements and not grommets. So in other words if you bring your car here make sure to do some research on your issue and bring your own parts

Gord's Auto repair have some of the BEST MECHANICS East Van has to offer. My fellow East Van Homeslices, If you are looking for a great mechanic shop that does Toyota, Subaru, Honda as well as all of the other usual suspects, with honest mechanics and reasonable pricing I am advising you to Talk with John at Gord's Auto repair. they charged me 50% less than the guys up the street were asking. John and Steve are both very honest guys. I've brought my beater car here a few times. They can usually get you in the same day/next morning. They're knowledgeable and reasonably priced for work. They've looked at my car, diagnosed it and fixed it without overpriced diagnostic charges, or claiming it needed more work than it actually did.The ONLY downside is they aren't open on weekends, though they seem to be very accommodating if you need to leave your vehicle with them for a few days.
